You know, I don't think of Perry supporters as Kook-aid drinkers, and the same for Bachmann supporters. Both candidates have great qualities -- I love Bachmann's political views, and there's much to like in Perry (though his and his supporters' Gardasil defense leaks a lot of water IMO -- the government had no business being involved, and it should never have even come up; also, that Perry spoke to La Raza ... well, that's kind of like someone who says, "Hitler was a great dancer!" -- La Raza is a racist organization to its core and should be shunned as decidedly as the Ku Klux Klan) ...
... despite his faults, there's a lot to like in Perry, and Cain and Bachmann are truly valuable warriors for the conservative cause.
The thing is ... when it comes to the person who should be sitting in the White House as President of the U.S.A., there's a LOT MORE to like in Palin. :^)

Absolutely brilliant. I think this is the first I’ve heard of David Karki. I hope we’ll be hearing more from him, because this is right up there with the best, for its ideas, its logic, and its writing style.
Is this maybe a pen name for Mark Steyn? Because he writes just as well as Steyn, and there are few if any I would say that about.

Are you at all able to come up with a compelling argument not to support Palin?I'm not against Palin, I supported Palin well before McCain heard of her. I'm just against some of her mindless, negative, cultist supporters who think they somehow are building her up by attacking virtually everyone else.
To: Prokopton
Did you really think that “debate” was a good idea? Why they agreed to it, or why the Reagan Library agreed to it, I simply cannot imagine.
MSNBC and Politico running a Republican debate? It just doesn’t compute. A total waste of time, which could accomplish nothing but debase everyone who took part in it.

S&M defense?
“You can’t say anything to me because I’ll cry.....”
....I really can’t figure where all of these lame excuses for discussion are coming from. Really, really getting tired of ‘em, though.

And if nothing else, itll be damned entertaining and hilarious watching the media and left go absolutely bonkers
Not only the media and the left but also the establishment GOP. They all fear and hate the tea party patriots because they know their hold on power is in jeopardy. I predict that with Sarah Palin in the race, things will get super ugly. I also believe that will work in our favor.

We don’t need the Palin version of Tempest so soon after his departure.
Do we?

I thought so too, but it might be that reality has actually begun to set in... ...and that reality is?

Watch now children, these bitter disparagers will now call me a "hater". Sad.
Yes, sad you are. I wouldn't call you a hater. I'll call you an obsessed crazy person. Feel better? :p

There’s not a darn thing wrong with someone having a different opinion than yours or believing their candidate will be a game changer. While Perry is my second choice after Palin there are things I have reservations about. I’m getting just a little sick of the name calling. Perry’s supporters, while quick to judge Palin supporters are just as passionate. Nothing wrong with that either. I don’t see the point of the 2 sides going on each others’ thread and putting them down. I’ve yet to hear issues, real issues discussed by either side. I mean solutions, their stand on conservative principles. The debate turns personal and insulting. It’s getting very, very old and not reflecting well on FR. I expect that out of DUmmies. We should be better than that.

it might be that reality has actually begun to set in... I tend to agree with you. Reality is settling in:
1) Perry is mortal after all. The debate helped clarify that.
2) Palin is beginning to take control of the center squares without even being officially declared. This emerging reality should be causing the lesser candidates to start looking over their shoulder.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Typical Palin love-orgy article. Every single candidate is worthless except Palin. They're all incompetent morons and RINO's.
Wasn't it Newt and Rush that both said republican candidates should stop attacking one another????
Is that out the window already?
