We're getting to where we need to but it's through water and taking the "long way". Son had to take his M-i-L for a radiation treatment. Right through the water. LOL Oxygen sensor got wet. He had me on the phone doing the "Grrrrr" thing. :-)

But we're better off than a lot of people.

I just got home to Florida. I drove to BWI via Altoona. Smart move on my part, though I hate leaving such a mess behind.

I have never, ever seen the Loyalsock so angry. It is simply unbelievable that something worse than Agnes could hit.

Here's a picture of Slabtown Bridge and what is left of Route 87 there. I didn't take this. A friend of mine did and posted it on her website. She also has other pictures and a video which I'll try to post.

I’m here in Western Pa. and so far no flooding I know of. But it as been raining on and off for several days now. The closest river would have to come uphill and many blocks before reaching here. It doesn’t appear where I’m at has ever flooded, I’ll assume it’ll stay that way.

Terrible isn’t it! Will look forward to your photos.

I haven’t been able to find any of my hometown yet...though I’ve tried. But know that it’s been hit very hard with flooding from people I spoke with.

Yeah, it's been an interesting few days here.

Lebanon County got hammered. Most of the bridges crossing the Swatara have been damaged. The Quitapahilla runs through the city of Lebanon - the water was pooring out from under sewer caps all over town.

It's going to take a while to recover from this one.

This is the intersection at Lickdale, near the I-81 exit to Lebanon (Exit 90). About 5 miles from my home.

According to WNEP TV the Susquehanna crested at 38' overnight in Wilkes Barre, and so far the levees are holding.

My back yard.

That's a small stream, Trout Run, which is usually on the other side of those pines (3 of which are no longer standing).

I saw film this morning. It’s unbelievable how high the water is! I’m glad to hear that you’re all right, metmom.

The weather summer has been extremely damaging for so many of us.

The forecast for the next two weeks is going to be mainly sunny and mild, then some cooling late next week, but very little chance of rain.

That’ll be a great blessing.

That is a blessing. I heard that at least two people have died. I wonder what the total deaths are this summer due to weather related injuries? Hurricanes, tornados, extreme heat, and flooding. We also had the earthquake on the east coast. This is one of the worst summers I can recall.

The water stopped about a foot from my house.

A lot of my neighbors weren’t so lucky.

That is amazing! Thousands used this bridge every day. The long way around to Walmart will add 15-20 miles to the trip!

Wonder if they’ll close lebanon Valley College for awhile.

(This area looks familiar, from driving two of my kids back and forth to LVC in the 70’s).

Spoke with sister today and waters are going down. Many roads have suffered, buckling, wash outs etc. But over all not hit nearly as hard as Willimasport Muncy and Lycoming area...nor Wilksbarre and that area.

Going to take a long while for people there to recover, homes lost etc.
