Let’s say Uncle Scam did find a way to make GE pay 35 % or so on their corporate taxes. GE would simply pull up many or most of their remaining stakes in the US and throw tens of thousands more Americans out of jobs. Only a mentally ill hyena or a Leftist would find that funny.

Is there anything left the eternal adolescents wont destroy? I doubt they could ever destroy your credibility, as you have none.

They can't offshore their most lucrative subsidiaries (and their well paying jobs) to avoid taxes in most cases
That's because 'free trade' is about putting the little guys out of the competition. It's about enabling the free movement of capital offshore, which means only those with a lot of capital, like GE, take 'advantage' of the slave labor countries in our 'free trade' agreements.
Where you get this 'free trade lie' stuff,
The free traitors bring up the argument all the time that corporate taxes are driving companies offshore. The truth is, it is their own corruption of our government that is pushing government regulation to ensure that moving offshore is profitable for them, and there is no risk to their capital. That's what makes it so easy, and that's why all the resource intensive American companies, like forestry and paper producers, ranchers, farmers, miners and local manufacturers are being shut down here. Their resources are 'locked up' by rotten globalist manufactured environmental policy, overbearing regulation inspired by communist principles and punishing taxes on Americans for using legally owned property for their livelihood. The trashnational corporations are protected by 'free trade'.
The purpose of 'free trade' is to put the little companies here out of business. The free traitors work with US politicians to make it happen. Its not a laff riot, its treason. No right thinking American supports the rotten corrupt globalist destruction of the United States.

Just attacking a persons credibility or position is not having a debate, which is what this forum is all about. You did not support your position against mine, which means you are not willing to have a conversation and convince me that I am incorrect. If you choose to engage people on this forum,I suggest you learn the protocols. BTW I welcome a good challenge.

If you’ve heard of Saul Alinsky, then you’ll know why some people do not address the issue. They are only here to stifle all discussion that opposes their agenda.
To: ffusco
There is nothing to debate. You blamed an entire generation for just about everything. I find your comment, "It's all the boomers fault" to be really ignorant.
This kind of pap doesn't rate a discussion IMO.
Take care!

I stated many times it was not all boomers, but just a subset. You bring no facts or data to bear. and dismiss the opportunity to engage in discussion, That is not in the spirit of FR. Good day.

My sister, who turns 30 this year, falls into this category. My guess is that it’s the MAN who won’t commit to marriage, but the woman would be all for it if he’d just get off his duff.

Every generation prior to mine could look forward to a higher standard of living, rising property values and a social security check. Nonsense ... the misnamed "social security" program was invented by that fascist pig Roosevelt.

Impressed by your post. For the last two years I’ve done just those things you mentioned. I use TV for home movies only...use computer for news. Rarely go out to eat. No longer carry a cell phone....and actually found a push button table top phone I use now.
What I purchase is necesssary and I no longer go “shopping”. Have a list at grocery store and stick to it. I have saved considerable monies doing so.
One does not realize how much “clutter” there is in our consumming and using so much that reallly is insignificant. I am happier for letting go of the non-essentials.
