Source please.
I believe that the budget was balanced by cutting expenses and taking from the Rainy Day Fund.
Darn, I hit enter before I was thru.
The Texas legislature has far more power than Perry.
Well Sarah Palin Can Talk about Energy should she Decide to get into the Race . Perry and Palin would Make a good team
You believe wrong!!!!! http://money.cnn.com/2011/01/23/news/economy/texas_perry_budget_stimulus/index.htm
No illegals from the south, ROFLOL, is your address rout 1, la la land Texas.
I respect Gov Perry even more for listening to the people. How many times has one of our elected leaders done something we didn’t like? Even those we voted for with enthusiasm do it eventually in most cases. Politicians, just like the voters are people too and we all make mistakes. Most of the time, the politician won’t admit it or fix it. Gov Perry goes against that mold just as he does in so many other things typical of DC. That to me is a true leader IMO.
Wrongs butt....we sent the money to Washington...and only a fool would not take it back to help one’s constituents....but as usual your posts are deceitful or outright lies...btw..where are you from and who put a burr in your butt to hit every Perry post with your nonsense?
Wrong, the stimulus money was not sent to Washington, it was printed, you people keep confusing highway fuel tax with, stimulus money, you got your share of the highway fund as well. Damn bunch of Texas dead beats.
And keep the personal stuff to yourself.
How many people are moving to Virginia?
I do believe that org.whodat’s brains must have dribbled down his Momma’s leg given the idiotic posts he makes. Poor brain dead basturd apparently can’t help himself...
“Damn bunch of Texas deadbeats.”
You sound a little cranky about Texas. So is Chris Matthews.
Time to tell the truth...you are Chris Matthews...right? ;)
But thanks for the info in post 24. Just for the record, Texas refused quite a bit of federal aid due to the long term federal control that could be incurred by accepting it.
Deadbeats refers to those claims that Texas paid more than its fair share of taxes. We the rest of the country could demand the removal of two are three military bases to help equalize the situation.
” Would that be a bad thing?”
Yes, that absolutely is a bad thing! So-called economic development is central planning, and central planning always distorts the market and always fails. This is nothing more than Soviet 5-year plans with different names.
Government should not take money from one to give to another. Period. If the money had been left in the hands of the rightful owners, they would have used it productively.
