Not much technology being used there. I had the tell the pumper two months ago that my buddy's well had a casing leak and needed a squeeze job. The pumper said it may just be old drilling mud oozing from the head. *That well was completed in the early 50's.
A week later the work-over rig was up and waiting for the cementing crew to come in.
I hope that all comes together. It’s absurd stopping oil production that’s been going on since the ‘20’s.

My son, who just finished his Masters degree work in geology, told me about some of the new techniques used to find reservoirs that they missed in the old days. A lot of it was over my head, but he said that new techniques are being used in the Permian Basin.
