Though I agree with your sentiment, I think its important to note (like many here at FR point out) That spending comes from congress.

That the largest debt increases under Bush, came under Pelousi and Reid. Now the Pubbies are in charge, of only one house, and are "trying" to reel in spending.

If they were really TRYING to reel in spending, they'd cut Obama off at the knees.

Zero is trying to scare people with the loss of SS checks if a debt ceiling isn't passed.

SS is paid from FICA taxes and not the general fund. Pointing this out would put the ball in Zero's court. Second, when short on money to pay bills, a person makes choices who gets paid what, and WHO GETS LEFT OUT.

Make the SS scare tactics about Obama paying bank and corporation bills first, but leaving SS and medicare people out.
