Wonder if anything will come of this?
What do the legal beagles here think?
Worth following.

I don’t think she even spoke with the FBI. I cannot think of what federal crimes she might have committed.
I want her to pay as much as anyone else, but I do not like the Feds being backup for the state courts.

This is a state crime and the feds must keep out. They are already encroaching in education, a state function and many others as well. This should never be. The dems have been working hard for years to reduce state responsibilities in favor of a central government.Don't go there.

What?
You already forgot about the double trial for the Rodney King cops?

It seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

It was BS for the Rodney King cops and it will be BS for Anthony. Just more power creep from the state, regardless of sovereignty level.
Why not start with township, to county to state to FEDs. Uh-unh.

No. They would have to charge her with a federal crime.
If she had been taken across state lines then possibly.
But here there is no chance.
The officers in the Rodney King beating were acquitted on state charges, then tried in federal court for violating King’s civil rights.
The Feds don’t just have parallel laws as a back up in the event a defendant gets away with one in state court.
Casey Anthony has it coming, but it won’t be in federal court.
I’m thinking a higher authority will deal with her.

There’s also the (at least?) two civil lawsuits by “Zanny” and Texas Equusearch. Will anything come of those?
