Jorge W. Bush is not pleased.
Too bad. He has done enough damage to this nation.
Goog for texas they get it now if the other states can grow a pair.Time to stop the illegals.
Illegals are a drain not a gain.
Amen and I don't want to spoil what portends to be a magnificent 4th by [re]counting all the ways.
Suffice it to say: NO more "Compassionate Conservative" RINOS!!!
Hey Guv Good hair, where was your backbone during the sanctuary city debate? Your inaction cost probably our only chance to address the issue. Too bad this is going to be your legacy.

Its important to point out that there is a huge difference in the Texas Dream Act and the The Dream Act that was pushed in Congress and failed. The Dream Act in Congress was full of all kinds of goodies other than allowing children of illegals to receive in state tuition. The Texas Dream Act was focused only on that. I happen to agree with The Texas Dream Act, and so did everyone in the Senate in Texas. It passed with ZERO no votes. Add to that, it has been proven to be successful.
These are a few things you need to know about the Texas Dream Act. The child has to have lived in Texas the three years leading up to high school graduation. These students are given no special treatment in getting into Texas colleges and universities. They must get in on their own merit. They are paying the tuition (with or without financial aid). Its estimated that these students make up about 1% of those entering college.

Most of us agree that border control MUST be dealt with first. The problem with all other efforts on this issue in the past is that the borders were not sealed. If there is anyone who we can trust to do that it is Gov. Perry (if he decides to run for President). He knows what goes on down at the border. He has gone there many times. He knows what needs to be done. There is no doubt in my mind that if he were President, he would seal our borders. But Perry also understands Hispanic outreach. [snip]
Why don’t you grow up and drop the “good hair” thing? Are you jealous? And it’s so unoriginal. And completely unrelated to any real issue.
Still listening through this Roger Hedgecock radio america link. 10 minutes in I feel like I have been "Rick Rolled" How long is this piece? Why isn't there a toggle where I can find the interview?
As far as the Dream Act comment, as with many other points of Perry's too bad his actions don't speak as loud as his words. I REPEAT ..... The illegal problem is twice as bad as it was 10 years ago. ON PERRY'S WATCH.
If you had READ my note......I said it starts about 1/2 way into the audio file.
Good, on to Sanctuary Cities in the next special session...
June 29, 2011: Roger Hedgecock interview with Rick Perry (starts 1/2 way into audio file)
Pretty persistent fellow, Rep. Jim Pitts, R-Waxahachie!
As far as relative, it definitely is. Guv goodhair is more style than substance. He may not be as much of an empty suit as the punk president, but he a'int our best choice for GOP nomination.
Crap, I spent 30 minutes waiting for Perry to blame the feds? Thanks!!!!
“Pretty persistent fellow, Rep. Jim Pitts, R-Waxahachie!”
LOL - is he calling for the same?
People have short memories and don't recognize incrementalism.
These are Real ID compliant drivers licenses.
Real ID originated at the 9-11 commission, Congress passed it in 2005 and at the time there wasn't much controversy.
But eventually some did start complaining and it was Real ID that killed the immigration reform bill in 2007. Real ID linked to E-Verify. No Real ID, no work. No Real ID, no fly. No Real ID, no access to the courthouse.
Then there was linking Real ID to SPP/NAU. No Real ID, you can't enter or exit the country.
So, in 2007 they all stopped talking about it. But eventually it will be completely rolled out and they will start talking and doing again.
