That probably would happen to some extent. Some of them could deal drugs or go into armed robbery. I can just imaging the media stories about how they were "forced" into committing those crimes.
But while I don't think life would be perfect if employers followed the law, I think it would be a hell of a lot better.
These people are just trying to keep millions of illegal dims parasites voting... these are invaders and enemies of our sovereignty.
Absolutely right. See my tagline.
Undocumented?????
Ever notice how the MSM and the rats have the same talking points?
Ping!
My question was, how would expelling illegals hurt the hard-working, tax-paying U.S. citizens.
I am not sure what you are asking me.
We need to deport or imprison ALL illegal aliens, including their anchor babies, seal/secure the border with armed troops, a fence and a wall, and have a lethal response to anyone trying to re-enter illegally.
THE SAGA OF PEDRO----RIDING THE US GRAVY TRAIN An illegal alien w/ wife and five children violates our borders. He gets a job mowing lawns for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that low wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, so each year, he files an Income Tax Return to get "EITC---earned income credit" of up to $3,200 scot-free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps and no deductible, no co-pay free health care. His children get free school breakfasts and lunches. The kids qualify for monthly SSI checks, faking ADD; the illegal and his wife get SSI if they fake being aged, blind or disabled; SSI qualifies them for Medicare. Plus illegals don't worry about pricey items like car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance, and qualifies for relief from high energy bills.
NOTE WELL: Earned Income Tax Credit is available only to immigrant workers who obtain legal work status. But the law allows immigrants to claim EITC for up to three years prior to obtaining that status. Workers simply file a tax return for the years in which they were not legally eligible to work in the US. The most widespread abuse stems from the requirement that children live with the worker for more than six months of the year. IRS does little to verify the claim. Many immigrants claim non-existent children, or claim children who theyve left behind with relatives. Those with two or more children and income below $32,121 could get as much as $4,008. It is estimated that illegals got $22 billion.
=============================================
ALL OF THAT IS COLLECTED WITH A SINGLE IDENTITY Evidence shows illegals establish several identities with phony SS nos and fake documents (which "impoverished immigrants" buy from traveling document brokers for several thousand dollars).
Illegal Jose Madrigal, the Washington state rapist, had some 30 identities.

Cutting off their employment will hopefully make the US less of a lure to illegals.
Yeah---that'll be a big help (/snix). Read on.
Illegal Manuel Mejia Ordonez ordered to repay $3M in Calif employment fraud

A former Marysville resident has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation. US Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner said 31-year-old Manuel Mejia Ordonez was sentenced to eight years and one month in prison for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and identity theft. (Excerpt) Read more at sfgate.com ...
QUESTION How does a citizen of Mexico make $3 million in unemployment claims? A. By establishing multiple identities. The fraudster, Manuel Mejia Ordonez, got eight years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud........and identity theft.
That is a State issue. I promise you, a Federal employment database is a power that is not worth the risk.
No, your question said "it" and did not specify whether "it" was about expulsion or E-Verify. The subject of the thread is a "plan" which includes E-Verify. Hence, your question was rightly assumed to refer to E-Verify, the powers attendant to which are clearly unconstitutional.
Absent a bounty system, let Federalism, represented by the Arizona (and now Alabama) plan work. Other States will jump in, or not. It will then become PROVEN by distinction what a disaster illegal immigration is (as if it isn't already obvious). The issue will then be over for good.
WOW thanks for the lecture. I had fooled myself into thinking we were on the same side. Now I have been educated.
Why woudl it fail? A I recall Operation Wetback in the 1950’s worked pretty well and deported mot if not all illegals.
How does an agricultural entity, you know, one who grows stuff in a particular area, move their business?
The idea that millions of unemployed Americans would take the jobs of Mexican or Central American undocumented field hands is unrealistic. Few American workers are willing to work in back-breaking jobs harvesting oranges or vegetables under the sweltering sun for minimum pay.
Depends on degree of hunger.
If E-Verify goes through the way it is, many employers would simply tell their undocumented workers: I cant have you on the books, so Ill pay you off the books.
The biggest expense of any business, is labor. Hence it is also the biggest write off. If paid UTT, no more write off. The money saved by paying under the table is a pittance, and actually a loss, when compared to the amount they now cannot write off. Of course, they could cook the books and show less income, but that is another story altogether.
That would make undocumented workers even more vulnerable to exploitation, would drive down wages for both legal and illegal workers, and would cost the government a loss of more than $17 billion in revenue over the next 10 years, according to General Accounting Office estimates.
Only for fly by night operations, where the gross income can be fudged to hide the actual outflow of labor costs.
My opinion: E-Verify is a legitimate tool that could help solve the U.S. immigration crisis, but only if it is implemented alongside a path to legalization for undocumented workers who are willing to pay fines and learn English.
It is a start. To hamstring it with add ons is their goal. Yours?
Whoever thinks that millions of undocumented immigrants, many of whom have American children, would simply leave their families behind and go back to their home countries is either kidding himself, or is trying to take the rest of us down the dangerous road of blaming immigrants for the U.S. economic crisis.
Immigrants are not the cause of the crisis. The richard cranium in the oval office and his cronies, without any business acumen, are. However, illegals do in fact contribute to the sponging off of precious resources at a time when in fact, they are scarce.
LOL
Dead on!!!

I have no problem with a limited worker visa or program but if they stay beyond the terms of their Visa... they should be deported... if they repeat the offense... put them to work in chain gangs for life. I have NO sympathy for any illegals.
LLS
agreed
You are quite apparently a long way from that, still. Frankly, given your performance, the prospects of eventual success are not good.
“Is that in the list of enumerated powers in the Constitution?”
You Constitutionalist!
Government is, in its essence, good. We need more of it in our lives.
GET AWAY FROM MY KEYBOARD!
Sorry - I left a Liberal unwatched while I went to get a coffee refill.
“Colorado gives illegals $2B in welfare and can’t find $100m for schools and don’t want to fix the roads. How about some relief for tax payers?”
Sounds like terminal Boulder Dementia Syndrome(BDS).
To date, the only 100% effective cure for BDS is turning the afflicted victim into cougar scat. The Colorado Department of Wildlife(DOW) is hard at work laying the foundation for such a cure.
Animal Whacko groups are helping DOW at this crucial effort.
