I'm not sure how significant the hiring of Rollins is, though some here clearly see it as a major error. Holding out on that for now.

Why no dice for Pence? I know he's not running, but what's the problem with him, in your view?

DeMint is a Senator. They all have to make nice, but I think he's got a conservative core.

Cain...agree with the problem with absolutely no political experience, but I still find him intriguing. I thought he made some good points at the debate on Monday.

I hope Sarah decides to run too. I'm not sure she should have sat out the debate, but I'm sure when and if she gets into the race, she'll be a game-changer.

Your memory is truly blurred, RC. You must have me confused with someone else because I was no where near here during the 2008 election.

I took a 'vacation' and JimRob thought I had opused when I left, so banned me (not for any behavioral issues but because he understandably thought I had quit for good).

I got tired of the nastiness and fighting and didn't like the way I behaved in the midst of it. I've only been back for two years....... I never even picked a candidate in the 2008 election before I left.

At any rate, when I behaved badly, I apologized, and I meant it....and if I said bad things to you, I'm still sorry for it. There is no anonymity before a Holy God, and I have asked forgiveness MANY times of Him.

I heard a discussion on the radio where it was said that if Weiner resigns now, his Congressional seat will be filled by appointment. If he waits a certain amount of time (I wish I could remember that detail but I believe I heard something about July?), there would be a special election.

Supposedly the former would benefit Republicans somehow and Dims would cheat to win as usual benefit from an appointment.

No. House seats can only be filled by election. Appointments to the House are not constitutional.
