Upon being stopped, did Revere, in essence, warn the British soldiers of the colonist' plans? Yes.

This exceptional piece of history is appreciated here. I would however hesitate on an adverse judgement of Paul Revere. It certain demands some scholarly research. Being as I served without distinction in the the British Army twice, I have knowledge of harsh threatening regular officers/NCOs.

I will certain gain a lot of pleasure in researching this. I know of the gallant Major John Andre of the British Army and his arrest by patriots at Tarrytown, New York. Unfortunately for him, he did not keep his uniform on when riding for the British lines. My blood was chilled at the threat of Major Mitchel of the 5th Regiment. Says this man, he would "Blow my brains out" if I lied. ( quoting Revere). I do wonder if Paul Revere was feeding them with misinformation of any sort.

Needs some verification and I shall read more of Paul Revere.
