The video doesn’t matter to me.

I really disagree. Someone threatens me to kill me, I make sure they don’t get up to finish what they intended.

To believe anything else is stupid.

A law enforcement officer, a deputy for Los Angles County, long ago told me that if anyone points a gun at me or attacks me with a knife, that person intends to kill and I have every right to kill them dead in self defense. Particularly, make sure they can’t come after you and finish you off.

That advice was way back in 1964. A lot has changed since then, but I would rather be in a court judged by twelve of my fellow citizens that buried six feet under because I showed mercy to a God damned criminal!

Seems to me if you version of justice is “Old Testament”.. you should support the shooting of the criminal.

It's the price you pay to be a free citizen, my FRiend... hesitate, and risk your own death.

It seems to me that in situations like that where your life is being threatened, your insticts kick in, your adrenalin kicks in, and your only goal is survival. You're best chance as survival is to eliminate the potential threat.

Don't hesitate, and risk killing your wife who just got up to use the john, and risk jail time for it.

That's a different scenario. His life had already been threatened by these thugs and he had already identified them as being robbers.

I guess you are like Obama... if you say it enough times it must be true. Grow up.

I have no sympathy for parents who raise murderers. None whatsoever.

I reared my nephew with tough love. He knows that if he ever committed a heinous crime, I would be the first to turn him in - no regrets!

As far as he knew, the thug could have been armed and could have regained his composure. Thus, the thug still posed a threat.

I am sorry for post 115.

I said it wrong, I had a strong point but the way that I said it made it all wrong, sorry.

If he’s actively trying to break in, I will take his head clean off his shoulders. I am also quick to pull the switch, if somebody is convicted of a crime.

However, if the person becomes incapacitated, unable to continue his crime, the only thing I can do is pull up a chair (close enough, but not too close), point my gun and call the cops.

If he stays still, he lives. If he attempts to move, he dies.

Few people raise murderers. There are people who have become criminals, but were raised well.

Would you kill your nephew, if he became incapacitated while doing a crime? Would you really put a gun two inches from his head, while unconscious, and pull the trigger?

I remember being so afraid after the Rodney King riots... I wanted to get a gun or a taser and friends who were LE told me that I had to arm myself with something that would completely stop the attacker or it would be used against me. They advised against a taser and told me to learn to shoot and get a concealed carry permit. This coming from police!!!! You shoot to kill...you are not an expert... go for the most damage because it can mean your life.

As I said, that isn’t the issue. I have zero problem with the castle doctrine.

I’m simply in agreement with the law, in that, you cannot kill somebody once they become incapacitated.
