Be that as it may, 25% of all Americans do not because, for three years, Barack Obama deliberately refused to allow the release of a simple document. When he finally authorized the release, it was a Photoshop, layered, composite image of the original.

We have "Birthers", and continue to have "Birthers", because of the deliberate and utter lack of transparency of Barack Obama.

I believe that Obsama bin Ladin is dead and you believe that Obsama bin Ladin is dead.

The timeline is doable to dump him at sea, but they had to move very expeditiously to get it done that fast: Helo to Kabul, get DNA samples, 800-1,000 mile flight to deck of USS Vinson, transfer, wash body, recite mohammedan prayers, then ride the slide. They were running to dump him.

Well, for one thing, the international news media photos of the State Funeral that Japan held for Yamamoto on 5 June 1943.

In Yamamoto's particular case, did proof matter, one way or the other?

Yamamoto's value to the Japanese war effort was the fact that Yamamoto was a brilliant strategist and tactician. The value of Yamamoto's death to the U.S. war effort was the fact that his strategic and tactical input into Japanese military operations came to an abrupt halt upon his death.

A slip in the bathtub or a plate of bad sushi would have accomplished the same positive outcome for the U.S. war effort.

An immortal and imaginary symbol is just as useful, maybe even more so, to al Qaeda's purposes than a live one. Think back to the months after Tora Bora when millions of Americans believed one thing about Osama's death and millions of Islamist nutjobs believed the opposite.

The Japanese confirmed Yamamoto's death. Al Qaeda, for propaganda purposes, may deny Osama's death and claim that he is still in hiding.

Yamamoto crashed behind Japanese lines. Having P-38 pilots recover his body from a Japanese-occupied jungle was, literally, impossible.

On the other hand, the possession of Osama bin Ladin's body was not an alternative military history possiblity. For 24 hours, the U.S. possesion of Osama's body was an actual fact.

Barack Obama deliberately lost possesion of that body without the slighest hope of ever recovering it.

Osama bin Ladin is poised to become the D. B. Cooper of the Islamist terrorists due to the stupidity of Barack Obama.

Do I believe that Osama is dead and is fish food, as we speak?

Yes.

Do I believe that Barack Obama was extremely stupid in deliberately throwing away the undeniable evidence of his death, which we possessed, into the ocean?

Yes.

The consequences of that stupidity will depend on whether or not al Qaeda declares Osama a martyr or decides to play the "Weekend at Bernie's" game. In either case, Obama has allowed al Qaeda the luxury of controlling the next move.
