Raisin Bran’s timeless; is still around. - Captain Crunch is empty calories and so is his cereal.
What is the life span of a goat? Would my dogs tolerate her? They tolerate our cat; but the cat has been around as long as they have and is a MEAN slasher if the dogs get too aggravating (she’s Persian & Siamese, a hunter). - I’m afraid I’d get really tired of having to milk the goat every day; and that’s just selfish I know, but I have fatigue issues. - I’d also like a few chickens for the eggs, but again, the dogs . . .
Milks well for about eight years, lives to ten average. You don’t want an old goat though. Farming is full of hard decisions. Sending her to slaughter after eight years with the clan is rough.
Chicken are disgusting. Lice, holes dug all over the place, crap all over, and filthy beasts.
A chicken yard story - years ago my husband’s aunt was in the chicken yard. She always chewed gum back then. Had a big wad of it in her mouth, and it fell out of her mouth and onto the ground. She reached down, picked up what she thought was her wad of Juicy Fruit gum and stuck it back in her mouth. Imagine her surprise when she suddenly discovered it WASN’T HER GUM !!
