Kate's dress was DIVINE. I truly love lace and that was the very best kind. She looked so sweet in the modest veil. I absolutely loved the elegant simplicity of the dress and femininity of the lace. Was Wills telling her how lovely she looked when she reached the altar?
I am always amazed and impressed with the depth and breadth of our Freeper Family! A truly awesome group of people of whom I’m proud to be a member... on most occassions ;)
I couldn’t watch live; just too early for the west coast.
But I did catch replays throughout the morning on various channels, including — believe it or not -— on al jazeera. I know...
I absolutely revel in the pageantry and tradition, the pomp and circumstance... especially from the comfort of my couch!! Haha.
It was a "halo tiara" either loaned or given to Kate by Queen Elizabeth II.
Conservatives revere the past and want to “conserve” it.
That is why its gratifying to see the Brits celebrate their history——everything they do is a paean to history (even though it happens to have royal markings).
We here in the US are forced to watch our important history being dismantled by ignorant progressives.
Kate’s tiara was the “borrowed” item....the Queen received it as a gift from her Mom on her 18th birthday.
I do get a kick out of Prince Harry.
He cut a fine figure in his uniform today, as did his brother, the groom.
Their pride in their military heritage adds to the significance of the day.
And I hear you, I don’t think anyone again will be as wedded to duty as Queen Elizabeth II has been.
I don’t think anyone has the stamina she does.
Are you on your way to some parties this evening...???
Hmmm...???
That Chelsy Davy looks rough! What in the world is wrong with this young woman. She looks like she’s hard, rough, corsed, I don’t know....something just doesn’t look right with her. Just IMHO.
She really does look like a tramp.
I don’t understand. Harry can do much better.
Bump Bump Bump. You are the best. Thank you.
Thank you so much for graciously hosting the live thread get-together. I couldn’t be here in real time, but I caught up.
Viewing the replays made me want to visit England and see the historic sites, the older the better!!!
I loved seeing the little boys, the ring-bearers, in their Elizabethan attire, re-creating and preserving history, as you say...
I think Harry would know how to show a girl some fun! William looks like a nice guy. Kate resembles Natalie Dormer from the Tudors on television.
Slughhhh... you finish. Yuck.
I wait on my husband every day. I do his laundry, cook his meals, and clean the house. I consider it an honor.
_______________
Isn’t that sweet..bless you.
Well yea..but I think he got a little bit converted by the end. Love and discipline on display doesn't come easy for some people...it makes them ill, kind of like garlic and vampires. He did ok toward the end though.
Have you seen this Tea Party game:
What is your Royal Wedding guest name? Start with either Lord or Lady. Your first name is one of your grandparents names. Your surname is the name of your first pet, double-barreled with the name of the street you grew up on. Have fun! (swiped this from nephew)
Mine is Bertha Dooley from Chapel
********
Mine is: Lady Vera Abby from Costello — LOL
Actor Rupert Everett was on TLC, and said these two looked like they were out of "Alice in Wonderland."
why do any of them need hats?
HATS, HATS, HATS! How could somebody as ugly as Princess Ann have such a beautiful daughter?
