Keep reminding everyone that they voted for change by announceing gas prices is Four Dollars and some change....Five Dollars and some change....etc.
Just made a trip from Houston to NC to visit my daughter and her family. I told my wife this is our last long trip.
To show how high prices are I made a wrong turn and went an extra 40 miles or so. It cost me around $6.00 for that little mistake.
I’ve been told by gas station owners that the feds tell them how much they can charge over how much they pay for wholesale. So, how do rental cars get away with it? I assume because they’re not gas retailers.
But how do stations “close to the airport” get away with it?
But how do stations close to the airport get away with it?
Probably because the owners are lying. :)
Not having a cell at the time, I pulled over at a phone booth and phoned; fortunately their records reflected the truth and I got a code or some such to return the car empty, which I did.....being Minneapolis, I'm pretty sure it was National.
Yeah, I almost got scorched by these stations returning my rental; I drove to a station bout a mile away and paid much less.. That was last October.
I hope the Amish voters notice what their boy has done.
Gas: $Hope and some change.
We go do DisneyWorld frequently. I have found that the prices over on that side of Orlando (Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee) are about $.20 cheaper than everywhere else.
Besides Wal-Mart/Sams, the gas stations IN DisneyWorld are the cheapest around.
Gas prices are the only outside thing I actually pay attention to while there. Mainly because there is a Hess Station right at the entrance to The Hollywood Studios.
Gas: $Hope and some change.
You're such a newbie, OK.
;-)
Gas is (and has been for over a week) —at a Chevron— $4.55 in Hilo (big island) Hawaii; same price pretty much all over town here
