I don’t think anybody understands the difficulty of that job. ‘bam is oblivious, suspended in a solipsistic ether.

W wasn’t that way.
And keep in mind that the congress and senate were controled by the dims in both terms; remember jump’n Jim?
And there was 9/11 and two wars that couldn’t be avoided.
And then Katrina— a dim mess that, with the help of the media, they smeared W with.
9/11 derailed the administrations plans to encourage more oil refineries and oil exploration.
Fannie and Freddie precipitated the credit crises; Bush and Cheney tried to address that too, but were rebuffed by the dim senate in cya mode.

I’m convinced that a massive campaign of market and media manipulation by outsiders— perhaps Soros was most prominent, but he couldn’t have been the only one— paved the way for ‘bams win. (Remember how oil plunged the summer prior to the election, nullifying the ‘pubs single most appealing issue? I can’t believe that was coincidence.

Even considering all this, our neighbors voted for ‘bam and elected him. College educated (supposedly) people swooned under the spell of hollow, nonsensical tripe from the mouth of a synthetic ghost.

I’ve quit the drinking I started the night this country elected ‘bam, but I don’t think I’ll ever get over the nausea the mere thought of him provokes.

Fact is, W was a president far better than this country deserved.

Trump sees his chance to run against the Obama train wreck.
What opportunist with power and lots of money wouldn’t?

The Real Donald Trump (2011)

Iraq, currently occupied by US forces, has $15 trillion in oil reserves, second behind only Saudi Arabia, said Trump.

If the US were to get its hands on some of that oil, it could make money and pay back its allies like the UK for their involvement in the Iraqi invasion and occupation, he said.

Trump mentioned that the US financial cost of invading and occupying Iraq totals $1.5 trillion.

To justify taking Iraqi oil, Trump said if the US were to simply leave Iraq, Iran will invade and take over the country. Letting the oil fall to Iran would be a bad idea, according to Trump.

If the US takes control of Iraqi oil, Trump said he would give some of the oil revenues to Iraq and some of it to the US and its allies.

On Libya, Trump said the US has already spent billions of dollars on the civil war there. However, the US isn’t likely to see a drop of oil from the efforts.

Below are other positions of Trump, stated in previous interviews:

Foreign Policy

- China: Threaten them with a 25 percent import tariff if they refuse to appreciate the yuan faster. The mere threat of a tariff would induce the China to revalue the yuan.

- OPEC: The US economy can’t handle oil prices at $100 per barrel. Make OPEC lower their prices. When pressed for specifics, he didn’t give any details except that if the message is delivered the right way (by him), OPEC would listen. He also said the US protects Saudi Arabia with their soldiers, but the latter doesn’t pay anything for that protection.

- Pakistan: They know where Osama Bin Laden is. Cut off all financial aid to Pakistan until they hand him over.

Wall Street

-No additional regulations. Otherwise, Wall Street wouldn’t be able to compete with London, Zurich, and Hong Kong.

Defense Spending

-Trump implied he’ll increase defense spending, build better weapons, and have better intelligence so that the US military can achieve its goals with fewer human casualties.

Immigration

- The US border with Mexico is a joke. It should be militarized so that no illegal immigrants can come in. Moreover, doing so would stop the burgeoning US-Mexico trade in illegal drugs.

- For illegal aliens already in the US, decide on a case-by-case basis who can stay and who should be deported or jailed. It’s a lengthy process, but Trumps believes this is the best option.

Social Issues

- Pro-life and anti-gay marriage. However, America has bigger problems than these two issues, which shouldn’t be the focus of presidential elections.

Taxes

-Simplify the tax code and make it fairer. When pressed for specifics, Trump didn’t give any details.

Trump is simply an opportunist.

He knows how to capitalize on a situation no matter which way it goes. It is all about maneuvering towards what he wants, not some underlying core principle.

In short, he schmoozes with whomever has what he wants at the time.

Between Beck going psycho, Ann Coulter and now Drudge, Donald Trump is sure showing some people to be somewhat different from what this poster believed them to be.

So far so good. Liking Trump more every single day...

Most everything he’s saying not only do I agree with, but I find myself wondering why he’s the only one out there, actually saying any of it.

Trump is nothing but an opportunist and a self promoter. A liberal, not a conservative.

You say this because Trump thinks Carter, Bush and Obama were all bad presidents?

A lot of statements were made in 2008...folks had a lot to grumble about and we still do...lets move on...

The Donald looks better every day, he is not afraid to speak up and we need someone like that...

I’m sick and tired of ‘my good friend on the right’ and my dear friend the Democrat or the Republican’...so many lies, so many crooks, we need help in AMERICA....

See how many birthers say they don't care. About this, about what he said about a woman's right to choose, his comments on supporting an assault weapons ban. About him supporting Hillary's Senatorial race. It don't matter to them.

Don’t like him one bit.

On the other hand I will admit a gold plated White House would look pretty nifty and seeing as we are already bankrupt as a country what is the worst he could do?

Just imagine him somehow winning the GOP nomination and the pro-Obama media slowly pushing past statements, questionable business deals, etc. in a slow drip to kill his candidacy and thus any hopes of ousting Obama. And that's before he creates new soundbites that would let the pro-Obama media torpedo him.

Yes, that would be a problem with a typical pile of mush Republican candidate, but that's exactly what is compelling about Trump. He doesn't give a damn if he is the media darling like the tower of Jello, McCain did. He is going to say what he thinks and it will be reported. If you want to attack him, you will not do it without considerable push back. Can you imagine what the press would do to a typical Republican milquetoast, like Crybaby Boehner, if they were to push the "birther" issue? They would be sliced and diced by the media and they would be begging for mercy. That's not going to happen with Trump. He is his own man and is unafraid. Exactly what we need to defeat the Dems and their MSM propaganda machine.

Donald Trump on Health Care

“We must have universal healthcare.”

http://www.ontheissues.org/Donald_Trump.htm

In His own words:

I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare.
Our objective [should be] to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well-administered, and provides freedom of choice. Possible? The good news is, yes. There is already a system in place-the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program-that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through a centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market-based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year participants can choose from plans which vary in benefits and costs.

Then please explain to me why Trump in 2008 thought Hillary was “ready to be Commander in Chief.”
