I think we all need to get our representatives to at least give this a fair hearing and force the GOP to get an up down vote on it.

I’ll read everyone’s replies after I post this.

I must say, there are three senators of this new class that have completely impressed me:

Rand Paul
Marco Rubio
Mike Lee (MY senator!)

These three are principled conservatives, and not prone to shits and giggles...very serious and thoughtful human beings.

We are lucky to have ALL three of them.

The GOP, all of them, better find their backbone and their patriotism and follow Paul’s lead. If not, take names and vote them out in 2012. Find men and women who put their country first before their own personal quest for power. Time to stop politicians from lining their pockets at the expense of our country and our children and grandchildren’s future. Their under-the-table $$$ from Lobbyists has got to be stopped and jail time their penalty. I do believe that We The People’s patience is “over.” That message must be delivered to Boehner, who is looking very weak and unable to lead, and the rest of the DC eunuchs now.

A few years ago, my wife lost her job and we had some unexpected expenses. We were far in debt and were running in the red every month. Guess what? We slashed spending in half and sold some things. It sucked, but we did it. The only exception was I insisted that the pool company opened and closed our above ground white trash pool. I suck with anything mechanical and the summer nights I spend in that pool with my kid is my favorite thing to do ever-and I lived a pretty good life.

While not out of the woods, we are no longer running in the red and our debt is greatly reduced.

same has to be done with the govt. It's just that simple.
