Those two Grand Jury reports should be mandatory reading for every Roman Catholic in this country.

The fact that so many ignore the reports and instead mindlessly defend the rapists is a very sad fact. Apparently, some prefer ignorance to the truth when the truth is so uncomfortable.

You’re right. It’s sad that some will defend people who have been accused by thousands of children all over the WORLD. Many of these children have grown up and are living lives in depression and anger.

I’ve already stated that. The 2005 report cites that 171 priests were investigated, but does not document each case, only a select representation.

But my question is about the recent list of 21 priests put on leave by the diocese. They aren’t in any of the grand jury reports.

Again, how was the list generated?

As someone who knows how our legal system can be abused, however, I also want to ensure the charges against the priests are legitimate, and not fabrications of those who see an opportunity to destroy, or at the very least bankrupt, the Church.

I have one suggestion that I know would wipe out 99% of these cases. No more altar boys. No more situations in which a Priest is alone with a boy.

Altar girls on the other hand would be safe as can be.

And that question was answered by posting both the 2005 and 2011 Grand Jury reports.

Watering down and/or covering up others sinful LIFESTYLE for many many years got the RCC in this mess and your attempt atWho’s sins are worse is laughable.

In your daily prayers for these mens’ souls, when you pray without hate, keep in mind that Jesus forgives you for denying Him each time just as the guilty ones, if you repent of it.

What's the 'without hate' bit? Keep in mind these rapists did nothing to us - so keep the 'hate mantra' to yourself! Where are prayers for the INNOCENT VICTIMS?? Telling Christians to pray for the rapists and those involved in the cover up for YEARS - is audacity. I'll pray for THE VICTIMS. A total flip to what you are saying.

And Christians don't deny JESUS - for we live daily knowing JESUS IS THE WORD and GOD'S WORD IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY. Is that true of catholics? NO. So who is denying JESUS?

Pray that they get a complete and accurate trial or come fully clean, so that the Truth be known and Justice be attained for true victims.

Pray that 'they'? NO. I'll pray that the VICTIMS get a complete and accurate trial so that the truth of the 'organization' be spread wide and far and let every catholic tremble as they realize their association with this 'cover up organization' allowed it to continue with their head in the sand attitude about it and coming against anyone who dare bring it up. No one can say they never knew - they just refused to go against the 'organization'.

So much for your 'true' victims - starting with a premise some may not. We will never know how many 'true' victims there are - because of manipulation and fear instilled in many many victims over many many years. And what happens to any victim? Do they turn against God because of the tactics of this heresy teaching church who calls herself one holy? I pray for the victims first and then the catholics to get to know THE TRUTH - that God's Word is The Final Authority and anyone/anything that teaches otherwise flee from it. That's worth more than any trial, any heartache for it brings Truth and eternal rewards.

Let your screen name be the motto for the RCC/Vatican/catholics - action behind the prayer.
