I stop watching his show but every so often I go back. I did 3/2 and turned it off right after he began bashing “birthers” again. He had a kindred spirit on for that one, Huck, who agrees with him.
Fortunately I did not see last night eposide of Mr. Pinhead, I would rather watch reruns of Startrek which I do now. I did not bother to watch him fawn over (.)bama either, why get aggravated? You know what is coming so why abuse your mental balance watching Mr. Pinhead give him verbal sex on TV?
Totally agree with your assessement letter. I won’t say never but can say will rarely watch his show again.
BOR = Ted Baxter: an overbearing, pompous, vain, shallow, buffoon. He even does Baxter’s famous malaprops - last week said ‘ferment violence’ for two days before Murray Slaughter must have told him the word is ‘foment’. What a dolt!
I can't imagine reading one of his books!
I usually turn to TCM when he comes on...have seen some really good old movies lately..."Grand Hotel" last night.
Good email!
Yes, O’Reilly was a total pompous ass. His continuing to berate Rumsfeld by not informing the public - and the fact that HE, THE GREAT O’REILLY didn’t know, was the biggest sin Rummy committed ... I was appalled. There were enough leaks during the war that hurt the cause and the public didn’t need to know everything - especially the great bloviator.
That’s when I stopped watching BOR. My bp is much better now.
One would think that BOR had to have known how intelligent a man Rumsfeld is. But, you watch the interview and O'Reilly is so clearly outmatched and then arrogant about being outmatched. He was exactly as you say: a thin-skinned, sarcastic blowhard.

Exactly!

I'm not saying the interview shouldn't have been done, but as you point out, the entire format of the interview was disrepectful of Secretary Rumsfeld's time, position and service. You make great points.

Thanks for your kind comments. Oh, I sent it to him. Actually both posts 1 and 2 of this thread.

Hey! How can you say that?
He's Irish!

TS
He must have been adopted, even the Irish can make a mistake once in awhile.....LOL
I was shocked and disgusted with the way O’Reilly treated a great patriot such as Rumsfeld. O’Reilly should have been ashamed of himself, but he’s too arrogant to have any insights into his own dispicable behaviors As many have already indicated, compare the manner in which O’Reilly interviwed Rumsfeld with the superficial/puff Obama interviews.
