Some here are saying, better the devil you know. Well, Gaddafi’s a really serious devil and I think if you folks were living in Tripoli you’d take your chances with chaos and unknowns. But maybe not.
Me, I’m somewhat more radical about muslims, having been neighbor to an “islamic center” packed with fundies. I say removing Gaddafi by whatever means, isn’t enough; and that Libyans are probably NOT very interested in our western concept of liberty. and until they demonstrate otherwise, we should recolonize their country, take over the oilfields and the airspace before someone else does.
As for Palin, she’d be one damned fine president, but her rosy view of oppressed people and their burning desire for freedom, reminds me of GWB with that religion of peace shtick. Politically, one has to say it, though in their cases they probably believe it. I do not.
Aside from the citified Libyans and Egyptians who ought to consider establishing free cities, these countries are loaded with backward, culturally primitive, and islamically deluded wretches who will be just the same in the next century.
And if we’re not careful we’ll be right there with them.
