You don’t watch so you think you are better than the people that do.

? I listen/watch a decent chunk of Beck every day. What are you talking about? Hell, I listened to drunken pre-Mormon Glenn Beck back wacky morning zoo deejay. Gosh, I live just a couple miles from him! I'm fairly well-versed in Beckology.

So you, a thoughtful, conservative, think that everyone that watches beck is someone who needs more outrageous stuff... You’re as bad as any slimeball liberal that I’ve ever heard attacking audiences of FOX, Rush, Levin, etc...

Go back to Demorat underground and spout your drivel!

Wow. Just because I think Beck goes over the top too often?! So tell me, Robbin - have you converted all your cash to gold yet? Have you built your nuclear shelter and stocked it with Beck-okayed canned goods? Because, you know, everything he says is gospel apparently.

The only time I’ve heard the term “dry drunk” was when DUmmies were referring to Bush.

I've seen Hennie Pennie refer to Glenn as a "dry drunk" on at least one occasion.

“SPOOL” was originally an acronym for “Simultaneous Peripheral Output On-Line” (from the era when a megabyte of RAM was made of little iron donuts and cost $1.75 million).

Referred to the concept of sending a few characters to the printer, then going back to computing something while waiting for the printer to print, before sending out a few more characters.

Doesn’t really make sense in the context of the tread title.

You do realize that a majority of Freepers consider themselves Christians. I know that bothers you, but deal with it.

I have no issues with Christians, even though I am not one. I have an issue with Beck because he is a Mormon, which is a cult (offshoot) of Christianity and passes himself off as a Christian and tries to make his faith normative. It is not. Mormonism is a business first and a sect second.

LOL! You're not a Christian, but you have an issue with Beck because he passes himself off as one. Apparently you're not a Mormon, since they are just business men. Frankly I couldn't give a rats butt if you are atheist, Jewish or muslim, but crapping on Glenn Beck because he might be of a religion you don't approve of makes you look like a troll....which is exactly what you are.

Please provide 1 post that a fellow FReeper says he is.

Why define the boundaries so narrow? Why does it have to be a FREEPER in your eyes? Why not just a plain Mormon leader?

Here, I'll make it easy for you: According to Mormon teachings, as expressed well here by the 12th Lds "president" of the church; and further commonly taught at the pop level by Mormonwiki...is this assessment of all men, whether its Glenn Beck or not:

Man is a god in embryo and has in him the seeds of godhood, and he can, if he will, rise to great heights. Lds "prophet" Spencer W. Kimball
Source: Lds.org

Human beings are "god in embryo" who began as individual "intelligences", were begotten by our literal Heavenly Father and one of his wives as "spirit children", and then were sent here to earth as part of a plan to give us physical bodies in which we could exercise free agency and prove our own worthiness unto godhood.
Source: Mormonwiki

So, who says Glenn Beck is a god?

Well, Mormon leaders do. In fact, they say all of us are gods in embryo...and will grow up to full-grown "godhood" as long as we become married temple Mormons in good standing with the Mormon church.

Now, if you're claiming Glenn Beck dishonors his leaders and prophets and disagrees with that teaching; well, that's an argument from silence.

Prove it or shut up.

What's absolutely hilarious is that svcw stated the truth: Glenn Beck isn't God...and then you got repeatedly hot & bothered by claiming she said he was. Uh, no; in fact, she stated exactly the opposite!!!

How long have you had this reading comprehension issue, NoGrayZone?

You know on this post of yours I'm responding to, if you would have simply stuck to a broader question -- like "Please provide 1 post that somebody says he is" -- that would have been a fair challenge.

And for that challenge, I answered it above.

But then for you to go off full-cocked -- beginning as you did in post #149: As I have previously asked, post 1 comment of ANY FReeper stating so. If you can't, you are committing sin....NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

Again, why does it HAVE to be a FREEPER who thinks Glenn Beck is God?

And what? You don't think some Mormon FREEPERS might actually adhere to their teachings that Glenn Beck, you, me & them are "gods in embryo," too??? On what grounds do you think NO Mormon FREEPERS adhere to that basic Mormon teaching?

Where is the "bearing false witness" about our neighbors? Which "neighbors" are you referencing? Your Mormon neighbors? What? You're telling us they ALL don't believe that ALL of us -- Glenn Beck included -- are "gods-in-embryo?" On what grounds?

I’m watching Glenn Beck, right now on DVR and I don’t see any signs of him “unspooling”.

Since your repeated posts show you have basic reading comprehension issues, I've decided to post compare-and-contrast north-south worldview comparison:

SVCW's Worldview of Glenn Beck: He is NOT not God. [post #77]

[There. Did the...
...

increased font size,

...bold faced,
...ALL CAPS,
...and underline...
...help out your eyes there???...
...Of course, if it's beyond an eye issue you have...
...just can't help you out there...

Versus the common Mormon worldview of Glenn Beck (& every other man):
Man is a GOD IN EMBRYO and has in him the seeds of godhood, and he can, if he will, rise to great heights. - Lds "prophet" Spencer W.

There. Does that help?

OH, and btw, if you somehow might think that Glenn Beck disagrees with all kinds of official Mormon worldviews and teachings, what? Do you think the Mormon church and its official publishing house, Deseret, just produces material of any ole' Mormon presenter and promotes that as "an ideal missionary tool"????

Yes? No?

I went to http://deseretbook.com -- which is owned by the Mormon church -- to find its description of the Lds church's resource re: Beck. Here's an excerpt of their description of GLENN BECK's PRESENTATION that GLENN BECK APPROVED for his religious body to circulate worldwide!

...In this presentation, Glenn Beck tells an audience of nearly 7,000 about his conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...Glenn bears his testimony about home teaching, tithing, and the transforming power of the Spirit....Glenn's story will strengthen the testimony of any Latter-day Saint. In addition, An Unlikely Mormon will be an ideal missionary tool.

What does this thread have to do with religion? Watch the video, which has numerous links now, and comment. This is not rocket science. OP said Beck was...unspooling....I don’t see it.

I watched the whole show, and, no, I don’t think he was “unspooling” any more than usual. We do live in interesting times, and I think he just gets a bit worked up when ‘splaining it all. There’s a lot to get worked up about.

I would say that it does have to do with religion when much of the “Christian” references are really mormon references. I personally stopped watching him, when he started crying. I really used to love his radio show, it is not the same as it once was - informative and entertaining, now it is...well I don;t know what but not that. The TV show has just gotten strange. Loved it in the beginning.

Errr, OK. I watched 40 minutes of video and all I saw about religion was how Beck was humbled by meeting Billy Graham in the last 4 minutes or so. The other 36 minutes was spot on accurate of the situation in the Mideast. I see no....unspooling....
