My favorite line... "Today's EPA should be called the 'Employment Prevention Agency'".
Many other good lines here as well.
Very good speech.

The frontrunner soon. Or should be.

"Today's EPA should be called the 'Employment Prevention Agency'". I thought it was the Enrichment Program for Attorneys.

I don’t think he’s presidential material, but he’s certainly right about the EPA. And more or less simultaneous with this, the Republicans in congress are proposing to cut the EPA budget by $3 billion and block any regulation of “greenhouse gases.”
The more politicians start saying this stuff, the better. It will encourage the cautions ones to reconsider.

Nice speech but still willing to to put baby killing on the shelf and his big tent talk is code for bipartisan which is also code for giving in to democrats on everything. I won't fall for another plastic republican.

which is also code for giving in to democrats on everything. Watch the speech.
Daniels is diametrically opposed to what the Democrats are all about.

Watch the speech.
Daniels talks about how this has been the left's plan to overwhelm the system.
Once the bankrupt us there is no coming back. Simple math. They know this.

I like what I’ve heard from him so far..this was a good speech. Haley was good too- he’s just got SO much baggage.
I’m still depressed that Pence decided not to give it a shot- long way from having any favorite.

long way from having any favorite. I don't have a favorite yet, either.
We have some good people jousting for the lead and I'll watch how they handle the pressures and will make my decision later.
However, I do like Daniels' and have liked him for years...I like his abilities, his faith, his manner with people, his message and his "gravitas".
And this speech was excellent.

He wrapped his big tent around all the right conservative ear candy but once elected , watch out! Words are the same thing that got Obama elected. Daniels is an insider who will do business as usual in Washington and sale out social conservatives while he's at it. No thanks!

"Very good speech. "
br> Not only that but he actually has a track record of reigning in the role of government.

I’ll work for his campaign if he runs. He’s the best of all worlds out there (even the elitists can be won over leaving the bambi in the dust!) except for Christie who won’t run — maybe he’ll consider his running-mate! WOW!!!

I keep hoping DeMint will run. But I’d certainly take Daniels over the “big names” being bandied about.

He’s Bushian on immigration.
To: 9YearLurker; calcowgirl
If that is true, then he will get ferocious opposition from me.
Of course, the only ones NOT Bushian on immigration are DeMint, Bachmann, Cain, and Santorum.

The frontrunner soon. Or should be. I haven't heard the full speech yet but I like his description of a new "red menace" - that of created of red ink. He seems humorous, not a bore, and has a solid two term record to run on from Indiana. We need this kind of "proven leadership" in the 2012 nominee.
Senator, Representatives and half-termers need not apply for POTUS. We need a solid governor.
