I don’t mean any disrespect at all by this, but what an inflammatory headline. It is my personal opinion this neglect began long before the Owhatever administration. So is the suing the Obama admin, or the Fed gov’t? I understand the need to grab attention with a headline, but this crosses the line a tad. Having said that.. YOU go girl! It is indeed sad that the APA has feminized quite a bit of the male population, so now the women are the only ones who can take the lead. We need the Marlboro man and John Wayne back. I miss President Bush more than ever. The 2006 congress made him appear inept and he rarely defended himself against their egregious acts of dishonor.
Here he is M-F 4pm live streaming at KYCA 1490 in Prescott.
His program is one of the best.
We have had 4 of 5 Govs in the last 5. Of the 4, only Jan could even be considered close to conservative. Mofford filled in as a complete idiot, Hull was a kinda, just about, republican, Nappy was/is a socialist, leaving Jan as a solid right-winger.
Go Jan, GO!
I don’t think so...
Don’t get me wrong, I hope this rattles the rafters in D.C. for all I care...
But you have to ask the question(s)...
What if this doesn’t do or produce the right results???
What is Arizona looking for the courts to compensate the state of Arizona if they do rule in their favor???
I would assume that in a perfect world the “border states” and any other state that has determined that they have an “illegal immigration” problem would be left to their own devices, as stated in the Constitution...Since the Federal governemtn has failed to adequately control, much less pay more than lip service to the problem, and they have done everything they can to keep the states from taking care of this on their own...
Want to see the illegal immigration and drug trafficking problem coming across our border unfettered be eliminated???
hehehe, let the states take care of it...
If California doesn’t want to pump dry their own watering hole, then they become the illegal immigration super highway then...
Bet that doesn’t last too long before they get with the program...
Just my opinion...
I heard a rumor that the democrats are going to tap Gabby Giffords for the Senate seat that Kyl is leaving open...
But of course that is dependent upon a satifactory recovery from her injury...Which I hope she does accomplish, but in reality she should probably tell the party hacks to shove it...
Democrats are rumored to be considering Gabby Giffords to run for that seat...(see my last post)
I wish...
Defending the border against intruders is one of the few things that the Constitution assigns to the federal government.
I agree with you, that they’re not doing it. Either we need to change things so they do, or we need to stop spending billions on border patrollers, Big Sis’s bureaucracy, and the rest, and reduce federal taxes by that amount. Then the states can take over the border patrol and security. The best of the border patrollers can move over and get paid by the states, instead.
We certainly don’t need to have enormous federal bureaucracies doing nothing, because of corrupt orders from above.
Well it is difficult to tell someone that they are inept, corrupt, and incapable of performing assigned tasks, if that person (or government in this case) does not want to believe they need help...
Its not that we want to take away a Constitutional function of government away from them, its simply that they are not performing up to the task, and we cannot afford them not to do their jobs anymore...
Money, and more important lives are being lost every single day in regards to this issue, and the states need to take back this issue until we can get it under control...
My proposal is to have the states administer, and fund their own illegal immigration policies for 10 years, with full authority and no interference from the Federal government, if they so choose to do so...
At the upcoming sunset of this policy, a simple review of the expendentures and results of the effort (state by state) will assess and value the bang for the buck, and if it appears the problem is reduced enough to allow the Federal government to take back control of the function, then we (states) should be glad to do so, with the caveat that we have the option to do so again in the future if the problem gets to be too big for their britches...
I believe this is a fair solution, and one that does not become a permanent change in the way we do things, it just puts the onus on the states to perform and succeed where our Federal brethren have fail for way to long on this issue...
Too bad its going to take a complete flushing of 535 politicians, and getting certain factions in the state governemnts to get with the program to get it done...
But hey, you won’t see me shedding a tear for them one bit if they don’t like the idea...
