My cousin (whose husband was an attorney for Billy J Clinton during his presidency, LOL) lives in a similar place in Wash DC.
They have a lot of older, closely packed places that are outrageously overpriced.
Here is the post article that quotes a HOMICIDE detective. I never see it mentioned again. The post also reassigned this story to the style desk.
Neighbors described hearing a crash followed by several popping sounds.

(Just catching up for the evening on FR)...she was ‘burned beyond recognition’ by ‘flames that shot three stories high’ yet the headrest (that we have noted) looks untouched by flame; as does the entire back end of a smallish, mid size SUV.
It doesn’t make sense.
One source familiar with the incident said “there didn't appear to be any major trauma” to Turton’s body. Another official, Capt. Michael Farish of the D.C. police homicide unit, said, “We have no evidence of any obvious malfeasance in her death at this time.”
Up is down.

I live on 8th Street SE, just across from the Turton’s garage. I will say that, thought we were woken up by the crackling of fire, we did not hear a crash. Hmmm
More to the point has never had anything of substance in their mind.
Better yet, this is a great one for the guys at Myth Busters.
Completely agree. Every time I see them, I think, “Bright lights. Great. You’ll be able to see every detail of the oncoming driver that you blinded as he swerves into you head-on.”
Wait a minute... Ashley WESTBROOK???? Cardinal Gibbons/NC State? I know her family! Damn, I better go check my car headlights...
Well, some sort of accelerant...
I’ve not seen the report of how high the flames were, just that the car/SUV was engulfed in flames. It is very odd that a car thats “engulfed” or where flames were very high would not cause more damage to that vehicle. What would cause a flash fire that wouldn’t damage the headrests (as seen from the rear) and leave the rest of the vehicle looking relatively unscathed (from the rear). Even the paving bricks underneath the car, outside the garage, are blackened. If the “anti-freeze” or some other “accelerant” had leaked under the car and outside, again, why isn’t the vehicle more damaged?
I have not seen a report that she was burnt beyond recognition.....only ones where the coroner/autopsy person wouldn’t absolutely identify the body as hers (maybe dental records weren’t provided yet or for privacy reasons?) Have you seen something more specific?
Shouldn't blood sugar been one of the first tests run? I'd expect BAC, tox, and others looking for what might have contributed to a questionable cause of death.
“Those headlights may be good for the driver but they are hard on the drivers coming the other way.”
Interesting. I can look directly into those lights and see perfectly well. I much prefer them to standard filament lamps.
Those headlights completely blind me. When I look at them all I see is shine.
Actually, having the BATFags (AKA “F Troop”) investigate makes PERFECT sense... IF your goal is to obfuscate, confuse, cover up and deny the facts of a case. Google “Operation GUNWALKER,” but only if you’ve your blood pressure meds right at hand!
I posted a link above about land racers banning antifreeze due to flammability concerns.
And up beyond that, a link to problems with glycol mists in fire suppression systems.
Still very unlikely in this case, but water-glycol mists can ignite.
Something else happened here- it might even be that she was unconscious when the whole thing started since there was very little evidence of fire in the cockpit of the BMW.
“Now I would not be surprised if they said she was a diabetic and didnt know it.
Remember way back, some secretary of Ron Brown was found apparently beaten to death in her office, with no pants? She was an unknown diabetic with some condition that looked like bruises, no foul play was suspected due to “unspecified health problems”.
Needless to say . . . there is more to this story.
Thanks for the tip.
I’m still gonna bitch.
