Nice. Same here with what you say. I also have some ceramic water filters for camping, bleach, and a rainwater collection system (can’t list everything, don’t you know).

And of course fuel. Nice move on the wildlife, they like you and will sacrifice for you if needed. LOL.

“I read an article around here the other day warning that prices from China would be increasing by 30-35% by summer.”

What took them so long. We can say all the macho stuff we want about China, but the bottom line is that they own us, and they can pull the plug on our economy ANY time they want.

As to that hurting them, sure, a little pain, but they can produce whatever they need and they have enough raw materials stockpiled that it won’t be much more than a blip - and they will NEVER have to worry about us again.

The dreams of Obama’s father will FINALLY be fulfilled.

Things like laundry soap, bar soap, cleaning supplies, fabric softner, shampoo, razors, other grooming aids. All have climbed steeply in price. Don’t forget things like TP and paper towels. I have at least a year’s supply of all but the TP and paper towels, that is about a 3 month supply for 2. I can’t pass up paying $2 for a bottle of name brand laundry soap, instead of $6-8 for the same size. Same goes for Bounce or Snuggle.

Biggest problem is running out of room to store it. Need to get the attic cleaned out of junk and make it my storage area for non food items.

I prefer ham and lima beans myself. Easy going in and easy coming out.

It gets real hot up there. Think before storings things there...probably not anything with liquid...only dry things.

I was thinking of things we have stored in cabinets that get used 1-2 times a year, which would free up cabinet space for food items. Area over the fridge is where I store some of it as it is wasted space due to my being SHORT, I need a ladder to reach anything stored there. I have a section of cabinet full of phone books, Medicare info, that could go up in the attic or in the recycle bin for all I care.

Yes this attic gets very hot and very cold. Still it needs cleaned out of 40 years of junk.
