His ruling stops it in its tracks. My question is why states continue to implement it? They do not have to anymore.
Any how many divisions has the Judge to force DC to obey the law?
What is important is that it is going to the Supreme Court and they will strike it down.
The Democrats knew it was unconstitional, just like they did the McCain-Feingold act.
On one hand, I have serious concerns about Obummer being re-elected...but OTOH, this, plus Egypt could be the final straw that broke Obama’s back and erases any temporary popularity improvements he’s had recently.
They figured "This is the time, while we have 'The One' in office and have the control of Congress to go for all we dream of. We can shove it down their throats as they scream in protest, but no matter how much they scream, it will be a done deal."
Almost.
Turns out (hopefully) that their sheer arrogance and powergrab is what will undo their dream.
If they had done this more incrementally, they might have succeeded, and people would not have woken up in time...and it WOULD have been a "done deal".
THIS is a hopeful sign.
Simple bureaucratic momentum. It is the equivalent of a 200,000 ton oil tanker. It is why it is so critical to kill this once and for all before it has a chance to metastasize more.
If we don't kill it now, all these agencies they are creating, all these government employees they are hiring, the office buildings, the chairs, the computers, everything, will be in place, and we all know...once a federal bureaucracy is in place, they simply do not go away.
We have to kill this thing now, and drive a stake through it.
Some liberals will accuse me of hate speech or coarsening the dialog for saying we need to "kill it". Just two words for them: "Screw You."
Any officials who continue to implement should be hauled in to court and jailed.
I agree with the spirit of what you said, but at the same time I understand there are people and entities who may not be the ones implementing, but have to be prepared if it does go on.
The question would be how do we define “implement” if we were to be that draconian?
They see insurance as a profit making evil, a remnant from the days of “Dead White men” and Slavery.
The objective always was the destruction of Insurance and giving all management of Health care to Communist Czars in DC. All dollars flowing to DC, and then the pennies left over flowing back to Doctors.
Fair and Balanced means they tell the truth 1/2 the time. The others lie all the time.
Right...but if I am a hospital or provider (and I am) I cannot risk stopping my preparations until it is 100% dead. Until then, if I stop and am unprepared, I haven’t done due diligence and could put my patients and employees at risk due to being exposed to fines and whatnot.
I think we agree, but professionally, we have to make sure we are covered one way or another.
Gotcha. It must be a major problem trying to stay in business. I do not know how you can stand it.
Doesn’t matter, 2-1 doesn’t work like that when it comes to court decisions.
It is particularly trying right now...but up here in The People’s Republic of Massachusetts, we are probably closer to Health Care Hell than many other places, thanks to Romneycare.
Everything is in a state of flux right now, nobody knows EXACTLY what should be done, but there is huge amount of hedge-betting or playing all possible sides, which makes things inefficient, but...what are you going to do?
Man, I hope this stuff goes down in flames like a B52 hit by a SAM. There is hope...and not the “Hope” that the liberal scumbags in power like to push.
The first thing to do is define you enemy as what they are . Communists. Quit pussyfooting around it.
I’m cynical, I believe most of them understand what the constitution is about but have made a conscious decision to pretend that they don’t. To me it is inconceivable that a judge could believe this law passes the constitution test and still have sense enough to feed himself. Simple Simon himself should know better.
To make it plainer yet, any judge who believes the health care reform law IS constitutional should be sitting in the corner blowing spit bubbles and playing with his feces.
