"Is it time to expand the Fairness Doctrine?"

Not just no, but hell f**king NO!!! What retard would even entertain such an abjectly stupid idea -- "oh, I have a great idea...let's outright give up our most effective weapons against the Leftist tyranny of the last two decades (talk radio and the Internet), in favor of some harebrained scheme to play gotcha with the lamestream media, which will be of dubious effectiveness at best." Yeah, great idea...NOT!

We don't need "most".

III%

Do the math...

Selwyn's plan is waaay overcomplicated.

What we need is the Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 2011: Henceforth, National Public Radio, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and all similar organizations shall be privately funded, exclusively.

"Most won’t do that. Face it, there will be no uprising in the US one way or another."...... Nicolae and Elena Ceauşescu thought that about Romania too.

Kindly stay out of my foxhole.
Thank you.

Fields of Glory?
Excuse me but this isn't 1776 and we won't be using smooth-bore Muskets at 100 yards.

So I'll be in Urban Camo or a Ghillie Suit, thank you very much.

Look around.

Do you see the young of the US getting ready to march in the streets?

Older men don’t do such things, to much to loose.

Um... try reading past the headline. The author makes the point that calling the libs on their hypocrisy might be the best way to kill the Fairness Doctrine once and for all. And even then, it's basically only satirically illustrative, not intended as a real proposal.

I read the article, thank you very much, and I say it's an extremely stupid idea. The better way to kill the FD is to just kill it, without bringing it back first. But in order for that to happen, the Pubbies will have to grow a collective set of ba**s, and it looks like that isn't going to happen any time soon.

From your profile page:

"The worst intellectual mistake a person can make is to assume that someone who disagrees with him is either ignorant or mentally deficient."

The second worst intellectual mistake a person can make is to assume that someone who disagrees with him hasn't read the whole article.
