This has been my concern for years — all those artifacts in the hands of Moslems who think making statues or images is a sin against Allah. Thank goodness Germany refused recently to send the Nefertiti bust back to that country with all those primitives.

I made my trip to Egypt and Jordan in 9/2010 as I knew there would be trouble in fall 2012 as the Egyptian presidential election was set for then. Lucky me for doing that as both countries will be bad places for western tourists for a long time now. Cairo, the museum, the Nile, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel in Egypt. Petra in Jordan, must sees.

I figured with the Egyptian presidential election set for fall 2011 (not 2012) that Mubarak would face opposition that couldn’t be silenced as he did with the parliament elections in late 2009. It turned out his trouble came sooner with the fall of the Tunisian dictator (big surprise to most, including the all wise Hillary Sec of State). Even so, the US government should have had a contingency plan for Egypt’s fall to shut out the radical Islamists. Maybe Omama’s plan is to make Egypt like Iran is now, as he seems bent on hurting America.
