Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has instructed his government to begin talks with the opposition parties who support the mass anti-government protests across the country, the pan-Arab satellite network Al-Arabiya reported on Monday.
Mubarak told his new prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq, to start talking to the opposition and find out their specific demands.

He’s truly in denial, and the longer he stays, the worse it gets. Egyptians are planning on new demonstrations tomorrow - whatever that means. It appears like one long and ongoing protest to me.

Unfortunately for Mubarak, I don't think this is a rebellion which can be negotiated with. It is a revolution. I think at this point only one thing can stop the protests: Mubarak's retirement from Egypt.
A revolution can be neither made nor stopped. The only thing that can be done is for one of several of its children to give it a direction by dint of victories.
