As far as the Truther thing goes, I don’t honestly know what that means, having never really taken time to hear the suppositions. Do Truthers believe the gov’t was behind 9/11?
Yes. And/or the Jews. They believe that the building was wired with explosives, that the planes were empty, that the people in the buildings weren't killed but taken and "kept" somewhere like Area 51. The list of stupidities is breath-taking.

Also saw one claim that helicopters could have rescued people from the buildings.

Hum. Head scratching indeed. I’m a health skeptic when there is clear evidence of inconsistencies, like those related to the _resident’s records, but this truther thing sounds far fetched and out of sync with reality!
It is. Ron Paul has made some strange 9/11 comments but it's mostly liberals that buy into it.
My oldest son worked with explosives and when he first heard the "9/11 theory" he burst out laughing. There's no way to wire a building for explosives and it not be noticed.
