I’m not on board with “blade”’s choice of rhetoric, but I do not see why the mother should be considered an innocent party in the prosecution of abortions.

You're quite the sick little puppy aren't you. With that kind of hate you have a great future at some other site.

You know you've got the upper hand in any argument when the other side devolves into ad hominem attacks..

Again, I have to ask you and everyone, why is it that in the years since Roe v Wade, we've had Repubs in the WH more than Dems, we've had Repubs running the Senate more than Dems, we've had a far more conservative SC and for several years in the "aughts", Repubs have had control over all 3 branches of this government... and yet NOTHING toward repealing that abominable ruling? NOTHING.

Well, I suggest that many politicos on the right aren't really committed... if one can want repeal "except in cases of rape or incest" ... what does that mean? If you were talking about a 4-year-old child, would murdering him be okay if he was conceived thusly? If we want to make little celebrities out of women who have murdered their children, promote their book tours and speaking engagements, would you do the same for Susan Smith if she suddenly found Jesus? If someone who was guilty of mass murder decided that (for whatever reason) he's out of that business now, would you make him the head of your "pro-life" organization?

I'm sick and tired of all the mealy-mouthed, half-measured, equivocating, exception-granting nonsense that I hear from the so-called pro-life conservatives. If we don't take our own beliefs seriously, how do we expect anyone else to? Don't we just become another special interest lobbying group?

abortion is not going to end until a sufficient majority of Americans have been convinced, on the retail level, that it must.

Exactly. Pro-death politicians, organizations, advocates are "dead to me".

Now, I have to convince more of my fellow Americans to take the same view.
