Yes, as we have seen in all but one state this week, warming is definitely a problem. Maybe the writer and Algore should slide their naked ass down my ice-caked yard to really get in touch with the full impact of this phenomenon. What planet do these people occupy?

Lets see - the ‘scientists’ have declared that the earth is warming more at the poles than at the equator. That means the temperature differential between the poles and equator will be less. Should get calmer weather.
These morons are equating a warmer atmosphere to a pot of boiling water, as if every molecule on earth is moving faster and more violently. To call it Junk Science insults upstanding junkyard owners.
Asshat Wankerville obviously has a short memory.....The floodwater peaked at almost a metre below the level of deadly 1974 floods in Brisbane, saving thousands of homes. Despite that, many factories and homes had only roof lines visible as residents woke. Power was cut to many areas in and around the city because of fears the waters could cause electrocutions.....
My question is if global warming is responsible for this flood in Australia, what was to blame for WORSE flooding in 1974?
After the 1974 floods, the good people of Australia obviously tried to figure out how to protect Brisbane from future floods. They figured if they could build some dams, if a future flood came along, they could deal with it. Ufortunatley the global warming nuts believed that Australia would DRY up and blow away because of global warming, so they prevented a key dam from being built. Now when floods return on their 30 year cycle (and La Nina conditions), they blame it on global warming rather than their own idiocy.

I work with a gal from Australia, who came here as an adult. She said this “happens all the time,” (her exact words). As she tells it, they have droughts and the ground gets baked and cracked; and then it rains. And then it floods because the water just runs off the dried soil. And then all kinds of poisonous critters show up in the darnedest places. She said she loved finding the critters and telling her dad, because he would kill them. With a shovel, a pistol or a shotgun; as necessary. She said her dad was her hero.
