Fox News about to give info on the little girl who died. Heartbreaking. My prayers are only feelings, I'm unable to put the words together, but God hears them anyway.

In follow up, the little girl had just been elected to the student council and a neighbor (or relative) invited her to the townhall meeting, thinking it would be a good experience for her.

They also reported that she was deceased, too. Having experienced a traumatic brain injury with my own daughter 4 years ago (she was 17 at the time) and seeing patients recovering from severe brain injuries, it is very hard for me to believe this 40 year old woman has already woken from anesthesia, spoken to people and recoginzed her husband. It doesn’t work that way. It would truly be a miracle if it happened, and I pray the report is true, however...

I think the eye-witness said it went into her temple and out her forehead. Could have missed the main part of her brain, or glanced it. Truly a miracle that she spoke and recognized people.
Amen, my husband and I joined together in prayer for her. This truely is good news and a miracle indeed.
I had to change the channel because I can’t bear an hour of Geraldo blaming racist tea partiers. I’ll say a prayer for Giffords and go to bed.

????? what’s up. I just read in a couple other places that she was killed. Now she is just wounded bad???? Does anyone know for sure. What ever is true, my prayer is going out to her and her family.

My little granddaughter’s name is Gabrielle Angelle. I think that is such a pretty name.
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been surrounded by prayer since the first announcement of this horrific crime, as have the families and loved ones of the Federal Judge, the little 9 year old child and all the victims of this madman. This is something the left will never understand. Fervent prayers that her condition will continue to improve. She is one very brave, strong woman!
Reports that Giffords is awake, recognized husband, ARE FALSE. Hospital tells Fox she is unconscious, in critical condition.

Like what, getting shot in the head?
I have quite a few case histories of people who were shot or stabbed in the brain and survived so it is not all that unusual, especially since getting shot in the head and getting shot in the brain are not the same thing. The bullet could have gone through the sinus.
On a glancing shot the bullet will often ‘Bounce” off the skull, possibly causing a depressed skull fracture and bruising of the brain, but remain under the scalp and slide around under the skin. It can also penetrate the skull and get trapped between the very tough membrane covering the brain, the dura mater, and slide around next to the inside surface of the skull. It appears the bullet hit this women somewhere around the temple and exited around her forehead so I think it unlikely it took a direct route.
