“I remember Free Republic back in the late 1930’s. It was much better then. Jim Robinson had just purchased his radio, and we would all key messages to one another in morse code.”
In the 1930’s, Freepers used steam powered laptops...

I actually remember Free Republic in the Whitewater File days when you linked from Drudge. I had a bit more hair then.

Ah, yes, the Whitewater File days. Back then, FR was much better. Michael Rivero was concerned that Clinton was in a cover up, but we all told him he was a kook. Soon, we all grew bored.
LOL!
Happy New Year, Publius! You still have a while over there on the West Coast.

Yep. Three-and-a-half hours. But the smoked salmon is in the fridge and the champagne is on ice. I’m ready.

I hooked up a second UPS. I can now literally FReep by candlelight! Champagne’s chilling in a snowbank on my deck. Gotta light off the grill now or I’ll be asleep by midnight. Who needs electricity?
