My condolences to you.
Author: Beth Norman Harris
Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no fear
in all the world is more grateful for kindness
than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should
lick your hand between the blows, your patience and
understanding will more quickly teach me the
things you would have me do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the worlds
sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce
wagging of my tail when your footsteps falls
upon my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside,
for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer
used to bitter elements.
Ad I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting
at your feet beside the hearth.
Though had you no home, I would rather follow
you through ice and snow than rest upon the
softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land,
for you are my god and I am your devoted worshiper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although
I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell
you when I suffer thirst.
Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp
and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side,
and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my
life should your life be in danger.
And, beloved master, should the great Master see fit
to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn
me away from you.
Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands
grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest
and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew,
my fate was ever safest in your hands.
I am so sorry. RIP Buddy.
So sorry. You have my sympathy...it hurts like heck!
My condolences.....had a Samoyed that we had to put to sleep because of cancer.....smartest dog I’ve ever come across personally. He knew how to tattle on me to the wife. He also knew after fetching the ball how to toss the ball for me to fetch.....the neighbors knew that when he’d bark at them, all they needed to do was say “Hi Puck”, and he’d stop and wag his tail.....he considered himself an equal part of the family, obviously “Buddy” was too.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I’m sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss. :(
A DOG FOR JESUS
I wish someone had given Jesus a dog
As loyal and loving as mine
To sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
And adore Him for being divine.
As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog
Would have followed Him all through the day
While He preached to the crowds and made the sick well
And knelt in the garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away
To face death alone and apart
With no tender dog following close behind
To comfort its Master’s Heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn
How happy He would have been
As His dog kissed His hands and barked its delight
For The One who died for all men.
Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine
The old pal so dear to me
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone
Knowing they’re in eternity.
Day after day, the whole day through
Wherever my road inclined
Four feet said, “I am coming with you!”
And trotted along behind.

I cannot even begin to imagine your pain. Hell, if one of my basset hounds needed a kidney transplant, I would give them one of mine. I completely love them and we sacrifice happily to give them as pampered a life as a basset will allow. (they are very independent couch potatoes)
Please accept my condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. Hubby and I will honor Buddy with a toast at cocktail hour tonight.
So sorry to hear about Buddy. I have always had dogs and it’s never easy when they leave us. People think I’m nuts when they hear of some of my vet bills but they don’t understand the comfort of a good dog.
So sorry.
I have a one year old shih-tzu who is a better guard dog than my pit bull/police dog.
I just gave him a hug in memory of Buddy.
I know you are heartbroken, I am so sorry. He sounds like he was a great little guy. RIP...............
We who know what it’s like sympathize and grieve with you. God bless you and may you get a delightful new doggy soon!
and on christmas too, i am so sorry to hear it. RIP buddy.
I’m so sorry for your loss...
Oh dear. Losing a treasured pet is like no other pain- my sympathies and prayers for your comfort.
Your little Buddy is home safe now.
