Why don't you take a gander at the anti-Federalist papers and tell us who had the correct side of the argument.
The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union didn't live up to their name. The system failed after 12 years, leading to violence and calls for dictatorship and secession. We are doing marginallyt better now, but it has taken 220 years. So which side won? Hamilton, Madison and Jay!
