Well, at least he’s consistent - consistently ridiculous.
To: SeekAndFind
Did he give a reason, or was it just contrariness on display.

Ron Paul. Where in the constitution does it say a duty of the federal government is to vote resolutions of honor, much less resolutions of honor for non-citizens?
To: SeekAndFind
This year the awards will be represented by an EMPTY SEAT. A couple of years ago it was presented to an EMPTY SUIT.

Ron Paul is right. I'm not paying my tax dollars for what the press release type of meaningless declarations that are in all practicality meaningless. In these kind of issues the American people have many ways to speak as a people. Stick to needed business. restoring Liberty and Justice IN AMERICA would be far more effective in helping this Chinese seeker of justice than a trillion of these empty -- but expensive in record keeping -- feel-good resolutions.

To bad the fellow wasn’t dealing with the shrimp industry, then Paul would have voted yes.

What’s his logic behind his No vote?

Did he give a reason, or was it just contrariness on display How many man-hours do you think were wasted by 435 congressmen and their staffs on this matter? I realize the nation is facing no pressing problems at this time, but couldn't they find something useful to do?
When you see a congressional vote go 402-1, you can assume that 402 of them voted the wrong way & Dr. Paul voted in the interests o the Constitution and the American people.

Yes, he does have a point. But in this particular instance, I wouldn’t mind voting Yes just because it would stick it to China, that pinnacle of human rights, a little.

but couldn't they find something useful to do?I'd rather they do useless things until all their time is gone.

Exactly. How about that TAX BILL? Close the borders? Freeing up the markets to get jobs and cash rolling again?
