You knew Sitchin has passed? Can’t ask him now I guess. :-(

Zecharia Sitchin’s Nibiru?

My first thought when I read the thread title.

If there is a Nemesis, then the EPA will move to declare it off limits.

It is planet x, tenth planet, Nibiru. The planet of the Annunaki, or Nephalin!

Wow I am thrilled I am not the only one that knows about Sitchcin.. His books are facinating.. Taking Evolution with a creationist spin... And making alot of sense..

They suggest that during its orbit, this red dwarf or brown dwarf star would regularly enter the Oort cloud, jostling the orbits of many comets there and causing some to fall toward Earth

Wouldn't something four times the mass of Jupiter cause said comets to fall towards itself rather than towards a teeny little planet far, far away?

I read 5 of his books back in the mid 90s...the first one was the strongest, 12th planet....the rest sorta seemed overly speculative.

I don’t really subscribe to the whole Nibiru thing but it was interesting to read.

Yeah. I guess he passed away October 9th. I hadn’t heard about it until tonight when I went to his website. I’ve read all of his books. Very “INTERESTING” to say the least.

Yes the 12th planet was interesting.. The whole Genisis idea is facinating though.. But earths religions would never recognise the possibilities of what he writes... I am of the mind who knows?

Art Bell would know,,,

No he wouldn't.

Art Bell is pretty unlistenable any more, since he constantly uses the
Chewbacca defense to support GW

I'm quite sure he'd attribute any "giant stealth object" in the Oort
cloud region as coming into existence because of global
warming here on Earth.

As for the article, I'm pretty confused with the mishing and mashing of terms, definitions, and theories.

I could swear I’ve read this as a scifi plot. Maybe Fred Hoyle.

That's funny, I was thinking I already saw this movie...

But wait, it gets better. This movie, made in 1951, has been remade. The new When Worlds Collide will be released in 2012. You don't suppose they would plant a story like this, just to pimp an upcoming movie?

Because if it’s there, it’s cold, it’s dark, and thus very hard to spot with visible and IR scopes.

Amazing...our sun “may have a companion”...and we “may soon detect such a stealth companion”...but we won't be able to see this huge planet/sun...”The potential jumbo Jupiter would likely be a world so frigid it is difficult to spot”. So if I understand this correctly...there may be another huge sun out there that we have never seen or detected that even if we could see it we might not see it because this “sun” will be too cold...so this is an unknown and unseen item that we know is cold so that we have a cover story in case we never see it...got it.

And we wonder why kids are confused in school...the "experts" print articles about made up cold suns and teach them about global warming...

I’ve sort of assumed there is a periodic bombardment by a cloud of comets, and that it will be due back on schedule. It will not be good when it returns.

That would be our Sun.

We found Neptune and Uranus out there and they are big and cold and dark. This thing is 4x Jupiter. It should have some measurable effect we’d be able to notice somehow.
