NEVER! So something is wrong with the story. Either the dude was out to buss him up, or it isn’t what happened.

Note: The guy commented that it was “just an accident” and that he couldn’t wait to play bassetball with him again. A taunt?

Did Obama really play on a basketball team with Sarah Palin? I have to wonder about that. Was he really ever in Alaska?

I wonder if Sarah said “Bless his heart” when she heard about it.

YEah well, if he hadn’t broke Rudy’s face, who the hell would ever have heard of Kermit Washington?

Actually Palin and Obama weren't playing ball when he split his lip.

I misread “basketball” as “baseball”. My first thought was, “What was the Zero doing playing baseball on Thanksgiving?” My second thought was, “He would be playing catcher.”

I like hearing that they are unhappy with “the one” we have every reason to gloat - we said it would happen but they knew all too well.

Unfortunately gloating is not going to help us. We need to get the media back to being unbiased and reporting facts about politicians. 2012 is a short way off with a lot of damage in the mean time.

I don’t doubt that the MSM will give Obama or his successor (I dont think he will finish his term, he will leave) a full court press. Declaring them the only ones who can save us while slandering the GOP candidate with falsehoods redacted on page 34.
Not to mention the fact that the RNC hasn’t got a clue who to run that can actually excite republicans and conservatives. We may well end up with another McCain who was not much better than Obama.

One must pay to play. But congressmen who depend upon political bosses for their livelihood must first play in order to pay. That's how the game is played... unless there's an injured knee here and an injured ego there ...in which case, the kids pick up their equipment and go home. So sad.

Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I don’t think the Tea Party will countenance a McCain-clone in 2012. If the RNC thinks we are angry now—or if they don’t bother to think about it at all—just wait and see what happens if they try that stunt again. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The candidate in 2012 had better, by hook or by crook, be a conservative, or the Republican Party will have an insurrection on its hands.

I think the single biggest change we need to make is to insist on more even-handedness in the debate format. For as long as I can remember, all the presidential debates have been moderated by far left ideologues. This has got to stop. If the RNC won’t insist on a 50/50 split between liberal and conservative moderators, then the candidate plus the Tea Party must. Too much is at stake to allow the moonbats free rein for another cycle.

Imagine the Left agreeing to four debates all moderated by Tea Party activists. Can’t do it, can you? Then why do we do the equivalent? It’s gone on for too long; it’s past time to level the playing field.

You are SO RIGHT! Imagine them agreeing to conservatives moderating debates. Liberals would be screaming and throwing televisions out of their windows.

The shock of reality would drive them to their beloved bottles of Xantac! They wouldn’t be able to handle it.

But the moderators come from the alphabet networks, which again is why I say we must get the networks to start being more fair. The MSM must be held accountable.

If I had any say in the TEA party at all, I would suggest a serious boycott on the sponsors of the MSM until they started delivering accurate and fair news. Dumped people like Matthews, Maddow, Olberman and even crap shows like the cackling hens on the view. People actually watch and believe their lies and that is bad.

As far as the RNC putting up a viable candidate. I think that they have been under the misunderstanding that because democrats still win elections that they have to be more “mainstream” to them that translates to leaning left.

If they would only grow a pair and drop ideology that separates us on a national level (like abortion) leave that to state levels. Just be pro gun, pro balanced budget, pro defense, infrastructure and then clamp down on wasteful government spending. Cut back on all the useless departments that have done nothing but make a bigger mess. Start deregulation on business so it can run without government interference and prosper. They would sweep the presidency, Senate and retain congress in record numbers.

They damn well better not misinterpret what has been said in November now. They better know that we want a conservative government, screw leaning left. I think that other than the MSM being a target, we need to keep Boehners feet to the fire. But IMO, he was a great choice for the speaker.
All he has said can be summed up in “for the people, of the people and by the people. One nation under god” and I am good with that.

Throw Bachmann in there for a VP spot or even the Presidential spot and I will be a very happy guy.

A lot of excellent thoughts in there, Munz. The only point on which I diverge is Boehner. I am very dissatisfied with the job he did prior to Nov. I don’t think he’s been nearly forceful enough or dynamic enough in opposing Obama’s agenda. He’s talked a good game since he saw the strength of the Tea Party via the ballot box, but I would like to see a more motivated Speaker who cares less about the direction the wind is blowing. On all your other points, however, I am in solid agreement.

I followed Boehners statements for a while after Obama was elected. I thought many of them were really excellent. I said that a few times and wished that he was the speaker of the house.
I just don’t think he was able to do much with Pelosi in charge. maybe he had more power than he wielded. I don’t really know how much he had at the time. I just hope that we can keep his feet to the fire and make him live up to his words now.
Did you follow him prior to the elections a lot?

Maybe I haven’t kept as close tabs on him as some. All I know is that time and time again it seemed like we needed somebody to speak out boldly against Pelosi and Obama, and I didn’t hear anything from Boehner. More often than not, it was Palin who came out with a statement. What I *have* read is that Boehner spends a lot of time on the golf course, and is also a hard partier. That’s fine; everybody needs a hobby/relaxation and down time. I just wish, as a Speaker, we had somebody really on fire for the conservative cause. Boehner has not impressed me as that person.

I signed up for his updates and press and thought he was pretty outspoken. He slammed Obama quite a bit, even on health care. (His speech on the floor impressed me on that) Of course the MSM never picked up on it.
They were too busy kissing Queen Pelosi and Prince Harry’s butt while worshiping Obama from afar.

Maybe now that he is in the position he has - it will demand more face time. Though it is my guess that they will try to degrade him as they did Palin when she got on the national scene.

Again, back to the MSM, almost *everything* that Palin says gets press, but they try to spin it - make her look stupid etc. But she does have star power. She gets press and although it is taking her some time to come into her own, she is now handling the press very well, finding new ways to turn it right back on them. She is becoming quite the powerhouse.

You have the advantage of me, then. I didn’t sign up for Boehner’s press releases. If he was more outspoken than I realized, and it was just a case of the MSM suppressing him, then I have done him an injustice. I hope he does a great job as Speaker. We really need a strong voice for the next two years. Hopefully after that Obama will be out. It can’t happen soon enough.

his posts are still there. The old press releases if your interested and have some time to just look.
http://gopleader.gov/News/

I am not trying to sway you. As a matter of fact i would be interested in your take on it. Was he as strong as I gave him credit for or just awash with anyone who would say the slightest thing about Obama’s agenda? that certainly could be the case. Anyone who tried in anyway to stop him, no matter how feeble I was all in favor of really. maybe I gave him too much credit.

As for Obama leaving, I honestly still believe that he will leave for some unknown reason prior to the end of his term. Personal reasons, health family, betterment of the party, to avoid a primary ... something. Have hope!!
