This margin will stand.

All this means is that larger boxes chock full of "missing" ballots will be "found."

Hello all you North Carolina elementary school students. Want to have a really fun project in which you can earn some grade points? Then create your own “missing” ballots box. First make a cardboard box. Then use your magic markers to label it “Missing” Ballots. Stuff these boxes full of unused absentee ballots. You do not need to fill out the ballots. They can be filled out by others later. Finally present the box to your teacher with instructions to forward it to the Secretary of State for North Carolina. In addition to extra credits, you will also earn a thank you letter from newly re-elected Congressman Bob Etheridge.

They have been caught before more than once. It gets a very short item in the newspaper when the perp is convicted but it makes no difference in the election he fixed or in the ones he will fix in the future.

Don't you know that the Democrats ALWAYS win these recounts? That is the RULE.
If you are so sure, then how about putting some money on it. I will wager money right now. Are you serious or are you merely gainsaying?

Thanks - does anyone have a succinct update on all the remaining races? Last week there were 9 still in question.

A check? The North Carolina Secretary of State will verify its validity.

Gainsayer. No belief in what you are writing. Just passing time, eh?

You got me. I am just making it ALL up. There has NEVER been a time in the past when a recount election has resulted in "missing" ballots being found in which "amazingly" the previous results were overturned to give the victory to the Democrat. Nope. Beyond the realm of possibility. Therefore I stand guilty of terminal fantasy.

Here is my fantasy scenario which we all know could NEVER happen:

Wednesday: Recount shaves about 400 votes from Ellmers lead.

Thursday: Continuing recount shaves about another 400 votes from Ellmers.

Less than a week later: MSM feigns "surprise" when boxes found chock full of "missing" ballots giving Etheridge another 600+ votes...and the victory.

Congratulations to Etheridge pour in from King County, WA and various precincts of Minnesota.

No one is denying the libs can steal elections. That is not news, and it takes no intellectual prowess or critical thinking to merely involuntarily blurt out comments about how they will steal this one.

Nevertheless, I tried to cut through your posting "hiccups" of terminal negativity by pointing to a fact or two and making a different prediction based on the facts of this case. The facts of this one is that there is almost 2000 votes to make up, almost 1% of all cast, and Ellmers has employed good legal help to aid her in this. There is little possibility she will lose this due to liberal shenanigans. If the difference was 0.1% or 180 votes, you would be right to be predicting the mysterious appearance of missing bags of votes. But this one is too great a difference to make up through shenanigans - particularly since Ellmers has smartly employed quite a bit of legal help. They will not let it be stolen, in my opinion.

There has NEVER been a time in the past when a recount election has resulted in "missing" ballots being found in which "amazingly" the previous results were overturned to give the victory to the Democrat. Nope. Beyond the realm of possibility.
If you would take a moment from your reflexive negative gainsaying, you might actually refine your paradigm. I agree that Dems are great at making up ground through mysterious and amazing "finds" of ballots when it is extremely close. If it is within 0.1-0.3% of votes cast it is amazing how it happens. But 1% and almost 1900 votes will prove too tough to overcome. Particularly when Ellmers has smartly engaged experienced legal help immediately. There is no way it will be stolen, imho.
Therefore I stand guilty of terminal fantasy.
No, you are guilty of the following:
  1. multiple reflexive negativity,
  2. odd joy in predicting bad things to happen,
  3. thus far not demonstrating the mental capacity of being able to comprehend contrast,
  4. not being able to be jarred into refining your hyperbole in the face of being challenged to do so.
I haven't yet developed the appropriate sentence for your obvious guilt, primarily because I have just made up the laws you have broken and have not determined the just fines and accompanying sentencing guidelines for the offenses. Please forgive my tardiness, or at least make their composition moot by acknowledging that this election will be a stretch for the demonRATs to steal. ;^)

Oops, it is nearly 1500 votes, not 1800 or 2000. I misread.
