I see the Konfederate Klavern has "kourses" in taking things out of context. What you left out of his post is more significant than what you took from it.

For the record, I don't see evidence that there were large numbers of African-Americans fighting in the Confederate army willingly or unwillingly. It certainly wasn't an integrated fighting force.

There were many slaves compelled to work for the Confederate forces building fortifications and roads and hauling goods. There were slaves or servants who travelled with the army and might have picked up a gun in defense of themselves or their masters or unit.

There were a few freemen of color in Lousiana who wanted to fight, but who were never mustered into the rebel army. After Union forces took New Orleans, the US army didn't have any problem incorporating those units into their fighting forces.

And there were a few Blacks who signed on in the last days of the war for one reason or another and were drilled in small African-American units. That doesn't add up to large numbers of Black Confederates, let alone an integrated rebel army.

Get over it. The war of rebellion is long over and your ilk lost. Whatever it is you get, especially in terms of commentary, is a manifestation of the God given right a free people have to speak their minds. So, irrespective of whatever you may feel you "deserve", you're going to get what it is folks have to say.

In fact, you really have no control over anything outside of your own little bubble. For example, I could walk right past your house, on the sidewalk you are required to maintain, and there is not one legal thing you can do about it. I can even stare at you as you pass by me on the street or in any publicly accessible area, and there is nothing you can legally do to stop me. Funny thing that freedom to live in the nation one is a citizen of. Irritating for you; grand for we normal folk. :)
