The middle class has been destroyed more or less now. With a degree you aren’t going to get any lower jobs to get by. You are overqualified.

I posted a job a few weeks ago for a warehouse worker. Got tons of applicants. Had one applicant who was previously a VP of Operations for and auto parts supplier.

If you are unemployed with a degree and are looking for anything, I think you are going to have to "dumb down" your resume'.

c_v, you just demonstrated the exact point made by the poster you were replying to.

So they tell the applicant you could do the job but your overqualified? I guess that only works with whites, I wonder what they tell non-whites.

This is the most devastating expose I have ever seen on 60 Minutes with a Dem president in office a week before the election. Just wow.

Something is changing here.

Maybe some self-preservation instinct is finally kicking in from the Kenyan Clown's destruction of our economy?

If this is true, will Jeb Bush run in 2012?

I would have. I wouldn’t have minded just not waking up some morning, either.

Based on your level of humanity and shortsightedness, I can understand why someone might feel that way.

I know a fed lawyer who is receiving 70% of his salary as his retirement pension, no change in his medical plan, Rx,dental, eye care etc. as far as we know.

And he plans on going back as a contractor...!

Yes, they are LIBS!

Did they get the wrong memo or has the MSM decided to throw Obambi under the bus?

The only way to address the jobs per month requirement is to implement pro-business policies which will encourage employers to create jobs here.

1. Repeal Obamacare.

2. Allow repatriation of overseas profits by U.S. corporations at a much lower rate than the full U.S. corporate income tax rate.

3. Permanently lower the U.S. corporate income tax rate, and tax overseas profit at a rate net of any foreign tax rates already paid.

They will not let him drag them all down with him, so they're about to unleash the dogs of hell on him. I'm sure that this is abundantly clear in the White House tonight.

It now becomes even clearer why so many of Obama's key team members have already bailed on him. They saw this coming.

Yup. I was surprised to see Emanuel leave BEFORE the election. Things must have been really bad and there have been reports here and there over the past year that Obama is not taking Emanuel's advice about moderating and taking things slowly rather than full bore. The Chicago mayor thing was a convenient excuse. No reason he couldn't have explored a run for mayor while still being in the WH.

Hillary will resign in a few months, There are already reports to that effect. The election loss cannot be blamed on her as she is not a political strategist for Obama and foreign policy is last on the list of voter concerns this time around. Being loyal to Obama will win her brownie points should she be looking to take the next step. She is loyal to say nothing else about her.

It's reported Axelrod is moving on as well.

Obama will not go willingly or easily. He's a divider and his last refuge will be cloaking himself as a minority, surrounding himself with minorities and claiming all against him are racists.

The preferred strategy to get him out of the way will be to target him in such a way that it can be blamed on Republicans-(birth certificate challenge). The GOP has to be extra careful not to get played for fools.

Once the take out Obama plan starts to gel, I will be interested in hearing Bernie Goldberg's take on it.

"One guy had a $200k job in human resources, but he hasn’t worked for something like two years."

This is common for people who are in director and VP positions during a down economy. I have a former VP who spent nine months unemployed after being let go during a restructuring i 2006 during the boom years. I have another former boss, a senior director, who spent over a year unemployed in California after being laid off.

In the white collar world, redundant management is the first to go when the economy gets bad. In the 60 Minutes piece, not only was the HR director laid off, but also a fiber-optics engineering manager.

It is also why I am quite comfortable being only a first-level manager. If I lose my job I can always move down one level back to my old role. Get two levels above it, and you are looking for another management position, and those are impossible in a down economy.

That is why I fewer issues about big salaries and golden parachutes for senior management. I know too many directors and VPs who struggled to get hired even in the boom times. Companies like to promote from within.

Here’s another thing. When the GOP lost the House in 2006, Hastert shouldered the blame and resigned gracefully rather than cast aspersions at Bush. Will Pelosi do the same? She is not gracious and I can’t see her slinking off. If she senses Obama is going to be jettisoned, I think she will pile on and fight to rescue her reputation.
