I am the worst one to estimate crowds. Plus I was in the very very front. It was a major hotel ballroom, and I am guessing it was as full as can be, mostly standing room only - there were a few chairs off to the side, but mostly everyone was standing.
One thing I will say about Republicans — we are so polite. Contrasted with the usual L.A. crowds, it’s a pleasure to see. It took an hour of just sitting n the hotel parking building’s roof in our car, in that long line of cars, to wind down the ramps to get out. Everyone was letting in the cars that needed to back out of their spaces and get in line. You don’t always see that in “real life,” LOL.
bump. didn’t know about the speech, can’t wait to hear/see it. esoecially if it’s as good as a whole bunch of folks, whom I trust here at FR, say it is/was.
17 days, folks.
Then we regroup...reload...and start the countdown to vote out the roots of the problem, and not just the branches. Plus, there should be more D branches to vote out than R.
I assume you meant even MORE intense.
She no use no prompters. ;) None of the Pubbies did. Maybe that’s the only job Obama truly has provided — the prompter set up guy.
Yeah, I saw him on Red Eye the other night, and I thought, "wow, Andrew is rather good looking"...lol.
Oh yes, watch her speech and enjoy!
400 hours and counting.
I don't know if she's got some coaching or it's simply a matter of lots of practice but her speech delivery has been getting better each time I've heard her. Tonight she broke out with a great one.
The “Mc-C” owned newspaper chain hates Miller, they never say anything positive about him, they still think Merki will toss a few scraps of food at them to keep them in business.
Somebody should send Lisa a free one way ticket to Chicago, there is where her style of politics belong.
Youll forever have the memory and that fabulous photo.
It's hard to hold the iPhone still and of course Sarah is just NEVER still, LOL, but I love this one -- you can see her passion.
It was like a watching a talented pitcher in a groove.
There was once or twice Sarah looked a the TV camera and I could swear she was looking right at me.
I think Miller is still in pretty good shape despite some of the recent polls. The write in factor is much more daunting than is being portrayed.
mark for later
Sarah was absolutely on fire!!! She knocked it out of the park.
She has grown so much in such a short time, it’s astounding.
I truly believe that God is blessing America, again.
That is AWESOME..glad to hear everyone was really nice. Compare that to the liberal westside where I am stuck where everyone pushes and shoves each other LOL
OK, in terms of how many people could have been in there:
The Platinum Ballroom of the Anaheim Mariott is 26,215 sq ft. Its capacity as a theater is 3200, a reception 3585, and BANQUET is 2010.
This means the media is lyin’ again. It was standing room only in 90% of the room (a few chairs on the front sides). There was certainly no room for banquet tables. So it was probably 3000 people just from that info alone.
All kinds of leaders and pols came in to sit up on the dias, and I immediately noticed Andrew’s big blue eyes, and thought “Who is that dude?” He looks far better in person than on a Hannity panel or whatever. And he is a powerful speaker (and funny). He is a 4-star general in the fight against the media.
I saw her live recently at a Christian school fund raiser in Montgomery, Al and she is electric in person.
The turnout was capacity, some 5000 plus for a dinner event. It was the largest event in the convention center and the biggest and most profitable event in the colleges history (estb. 1942)
I travel again to hear her if she comes any where close.
I will be supporting her if she chooses to run in 2012 and proudly so.
Oh yeah - on the Westside gosh forbid if you sit for a millisecond at a green light. People are so rude and always honking. They will kill your grandmother for a parking spot.
She is electric, isn’t she? I was in this huge tennis stadium during the 2008 when she came to SoCal, really far from Sarah, and yet STILL it was exciting.
