Tea Partiers are almost exclusively composed of private sector players. The private sector embraced color-blindness early on, while the public sector is by necessity color-conscious. Thus the only color that's important in the private sector is green.

I know for a fact they know him locally, I’ve talked to them at the tea parties he speaks at. He’s as famous as Rush around here, but the liberal AJC and local news outlets never give him air time because he kind of messes with their agenda.

So they interview people like Hank Johnson who never go to tea parties, and just spout the left talking points.

And as far as the Tea Party people and candidates they support being extreme, I suppose wanting fiscal discipline in Washington, wanting reduced regulations on the free-market system, passing laws that adhere to the Constitution of the USA and listening to the voting public must be what the liberals call extreme and scary.

Ain't that the truth. Its sad to say but the reason the Left is so scared of the Tea Party is because they want to restore fiscal sanity. That's like trying to take booze away from an active alcoholic.
