my taxable value went up 60% to full valuation three years ago, then went up again another 28% last year...Government **RENT** that is what property tax really is. It is time we started calling it by its true, and most descriptive name!
Fail to pay your government rent and armed sheriffs will soon be at the door to evict you.
This doesn’t even take into account all the government fees (taxes disguised as fees), possibly fines people pay, tickets, etc. Best is turning things that were never crimes before, into them now in order to fine people and increase revenue.
Government is just taking money from people every which way it can. Don’t care how. Just we want citizens’ money.
I live on a street(Upstate NY) where the taxes average $15K+ (some well over $20K). You’d think the neighbors would be leading the tea party. Nope. Dumb clueless libs.
