Can the entire organizaion be named Treasury Secretary?
It is possible they are not required to file if they are associated with a church or are a quasi orgaization of a group of churches.
Is there someone running against this woman ? With all of the money she has raised , why has there not been a full cavity search of whatever his name is . You know , bank and court records family problems photos whatever . Every election it’s the same crap , the pubs never prepare for what will surely happen . They are the stupid party and we are fools for doing there dirty work .
Yeah, all of them are coming due ~ it's a NEW REQUIREMENT and those affected had 3 years to comply.
The LIE here is the attempt to smear this organization for having taken the three year period to meet the new reporting requirement.
Hmmm, sounds like someone has the keys to IRS records to look for dirt on Conservatives. Noting illegal about that, as long as you have the media on your side that is.
What really irks me is the protection of their own cronies. Several months ago, during the beer summit between O’Bummers friend and the officer, I pulled the IRS form 990 filed by OBummer’s friend’s foundation. It was cut and dry tax fraud.... was anything ever done? I doubt it. That is my professional opinion as a CPA.
All these 990’s are public information by law and available for review online. I bet most of the democrat’s organizations are not legit and should be audited. The IRS offers some hefty rewards for people tipping them off.
The 990 also must disclose all the major donors, officers and directors. Useful information?
Meanwhile Charlie Rangel is laughing his butt off.
From page 3 it looks like there are different rules for churches vs. other religious organizations. I didn't dig deeply enough to figure out what the difference between the two is.
Probably hasn't raised any money. Zippedy do-dah.
Unreal! Every “issue” they find with Republicans are EXACTLY what they’ve been doing for years! Half of the kenyans cabinet doesn’t pay their taxes. Jumping on Whitman for hiring an illegal?!

Most are only required to file a post card with no financial information.. It’s more of a registration than a filing...
pissant Have you seen this???!!!

These tax forms are all public information...
This “Letter to the Editor” was in my local paper yesterday in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Looks like this IRS is all over this issue.
I hope I can post this. Here is the complete “Letter to the Editor””
We at the Internal Revenue Service are concerned because as many as 1,500 small community-based nonprofits in Idaho are in jeopardy of losing their tax-exempt status. The loss of this status could greatly impact the organizations’ charitable work and their donors’ potential tax deductions.
Among the organizations that could lose their tax-exempt status are local sports associations and community support groups, volunteer fire and ambulance associations and their auxiliaries, social clubs, educational societies, veterans groups, church-affiliated groups, groups designed to assist those with special needs and a variety of others.
The organizations that are at risk failed to file the required returns for 2007, 2008 and 2009, according to IRS records . The requirement to file is the result of a tax law change that occurred in 2006. For many of these small organizations, complying with the new law may be as simple as completing a 10-minute form online. They can preserve their exempt status under a one-time relief program the IRS announced in July, but only if they file by Oct. 15, 2010.
The IRS has made numerous attempts to alert these organizations, but we are concerned that many may not have gotten the word. A list of the organizations that were at-risk as of the end of July is posted at IRS.gov along with instructions on how to comply with the new law.
We encourage everyone who is connected with a small nonprofit community group to make sure that their organization is aware of the law change and is in compliance before the October 15 deadline.

Very different rules. Churches are (almost)never required to file, even for the 501 C (3) status. That is how Jesse Jasckon & Sharpton get away with what they do.
As a CPA I was one of the leading experts in the country on this subject for years and was on retainer with several major religious groups (denominations) as a tax consultant.
If it’s a defunct organization then there is no need to file. Did the AP bother to find that out?
My 501(c)(3) just has to e-file the Form 990-n. Nothin’ to it, since we get less than $10K/yr in contributions.
