Everything was cancelled today. Grad student friends of mine report everyone just hit the bars early. Lots of debate over right to carry on campus taking place.

Hmmm, that kid who was hit by the train last week was from Crockett HS. Kid supposedly didn’t hear the train because he might have been wearing ear plugs while he listened to his ipod - sure, like he couldn’t feel the vibration either, but whatever. Coincidence?

Troubled kid I guess. Good thing he didn’t take anyone with him. Austin PD credits Longhorns for showing them the way to the suspect as a way to keep him off the streets and force him into a corner. What a shame, what a day. Glad all my friends back up there (FRiends included) are just fine.
