6 ft. away is too far to see?
The soldier wasn’t on duty — the cops were.
The soldier had no cause to draw on the cops ... the cops seemingly had cause to draw on the solider.

The officer testified that he has a holster just like it, and that he knows the gun can be fired while it's in the holster.
Costco employees may have unintentionally set up the chain of events.
I thought that was possible when this story was first reported, but now after seeing the report of the Costco employee's testimony, I think he was justified in his actions and everything he reported to the police. Also now knowing that the deceased had very high amounts of morphine and xanax in his system is another factor.
Pound sand.

I've read that he had back issues.
Sounds like it could be a factor affecting his behavior inside the store.
It's solely for the smear effect.
Too far to see what?

This police department is corrupt and on a power trip. As has been said on most of these threads, these cops kill a lot of someones and haven’t been found at fault since 1976. That includes unarmed someones.
Consider the source. When you see this subject brought up at the inquest, let me know.
Shai Lierley - now we know the name of the Costco creep.
>> The smell of lynch the pigs is growing stronger at FR. Sheesh ...
Indeed it is.

Could you imagine Erik Scott’s reaction: “I’m going to get murdered by Porkie the Jack-Booted Donut Swine!”
Ah. You haven't read all of the threads on this so have no background info. Got it.
Have a nice day.
Have you read ANY of the other threads?
Guy looks like some of the Treblinka guards I was looking at last night.
Platitudes and 30-year “fault” records are insufficent to condemn a cop for killing a man that drew a weapon.
SnakeDoc
Indeed it is.
Please. If you don't have misgivings about an law abiding citizen with the character of Mr Scott getting gunned down, and shot while he lay on the ground, in the manner as happened here then there's something wrong with you, not the critics.
That's why he became an expert backshooter...
Actually, the cop specifically testified that at the time he fired, he didn’t know Scott’s gun was in a holster. It was only later, when he saw the gun in its holster on the ground, that he realized the gun was still hostered.
The Costco employee testified Scott wasn’t acting like a threat. However, the call to 911 made it sound like a nutcase was in the store.
And Rush Limbaugh is proof that you can have high levels of prescription drugs in you and still act normal.
I would think that because of insurance liability that the attorney is correct.
