I was clicking around Dr. Sowell's site and ran across his favorite quotes. Great stuff. Thought you might like them, too... if you have not seen them already.
I especially like:
...mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent...
--Adam Smith
Dr. Sowell saying this saddens me greatly, because I know he would not say something like this flippantly. If he observes it as so, then who can refute it? Our only hope is that good men and women with the help of Almighty God can wrest control of this nation’s rudder from those who would run her over the waterfall in time to steer America away from utter ruination as a nation of freedom and liberty.
Yes, Dr. Sowell has a lot of really good stuff on his home site.
It is definitely saddening, he is not one to scream “the sky is falling” and in his warnings on this he’s very specific.
Thanks for the head’s-up. Even if I’ve read most of the content, I like to have Thomas Sowell books around the house (even if they’re checked out from the library) for the kids to read. I have a standing reward offer for any child who finds one I don’t have at the used book store or library clearance sale.
